Duvet Covers For Kids
Duvet Covers To The Rescue!
Dust mites can take over your kids bed if the bedding is not properly cleaned weekly. Unfortunately, many parents have a hard time keeping up with this procedure because of the amounts of money they would have to spend in getting their kids bedding cleaned. Some comforters have to be dry cleaned because they are just too big to be washed properly in the washer machine and we all know that dry cleaning can cost us a lot of money! Dry cleaning does not have to necessarily be the solution to keeping your kids bedding cleaned and our kids healthy.
Duvet covers are the solution to this problem. They can protect your children's bedding from collecting dust and stains. The comforters are placed in the duvet cover and kept safe from dirt and soil. When it is time to clean the bedding, remove the duvet cover from the comforter and place it to be washed in the washer machine with the rest of the sheets. Your kids bed is kept smelling clean and fresh. The comforter will last your child a life time.
Marvel and DC Comics Superhero Duvet Covers
Boys aren't the only ones who love superheroes. I was brought up in the 80's. Guess who was my favorite superhero? Hint: Look up in the sky it's a bird, it's a plane, no it's..... Superman! Yes, I was a huge fan of Super Man. I also wanted him to be my boyfriend (hee-hee). I later on became a fan of Batman and Spiderman. Goes to show that girls also love superheroes and it doesn't always have to be Wonder Woman or any other female superhero character.
In my opinion, the best superheros originated from DC Comics and Marvel. There exist many DC and Marvel comic book characters. A couple of well-known characters that you can find printed on a duvet cover include Hulk, X-Men, Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, Fantastic Four, Batman, etc.
Who are your child's or your favorite superhero comic book characters?
Broom-broom! It's no surprise that little boys love anything with wheels. From tractors to racing cars. You can never go wrong with a car-themed bedding set in a boy's room.
With this duvet cover, I would choose yellow and orange as the accent colors.
Keeping your Kids Healthy and Germ Free
Everyone loves a clean bedroom. A dirty room is horrible to sleep in, especially for children. Kids can easily catch allergies and colds. We have to teach our kids how to stay away from harmful bacteria. Yes, washing your kids duvet covers and sheets on a regular basis can help keep their beds clear of dust mites and bacteria. But here are a couple of more tips that can also help your child stay free of germs and allergies:
- Teach your kids to wash there hands for about 15 to 20 seconds before and after eating, going to the bathroom, playing with pets, outdoor playing, etc.
- Make sure to always put antibacterial wipes and hand sanitizer in their backpacks
- Place antibacterial soap in every bathroom in the home
- Teach your kids to not sit on public toilets
- Keep your kids up to date on their vaccinations
- Wash cutting boards and counter tops with hot, soapy water and use disinfectant on counter tops
- Dust their bedroom often
- Wash their stuff animals weekly. They can easily catch dust
- Keep pets out of the bedroom at bed time.
Pop Star Duvet Cover
Kids love to sing and dance. My daughter liked many singers as a young child, including Hannah Montana and Justin Bieber (oh boy). A bedding set of her favorite pop star would always be on the top of her Christmas list.
Dog Duvet Covers
Puppy's make kids laugh. These duvet covers are great for kids who love animals, especially dogs.
The duvet cover above features a Shar-Pei puppy. The one on the bottom left appears to be an American Cocker Spaniel. The one on the bottom right is definitely a Chihuahua.

Disney Duvet Covers
Who doesn't like Disney? I have always been a huge fan of Walt Disney films ever since I could remember. And we all know their popular amusement park.
My favorite Disney character has always been M-i-c-k-e-y M-o-u-s-e, Mickey Mouse! Who remembers that song? It was used in a Mickey Mouse talking doll commercial in the early 90's but originated from the Mickey Mouse Club in the 1960's. Who is your favorite Disney cartoon character?
Disney duvet covers can be an easy gift idea because kids have at least one favorite Disney character.
If you are looking for a Disney character who will never go out of style, choose Mickey or Minnie Mouse. Disney princesses is another great choice.
If you are wanting to purchase a bedding set of a popular Disney movie from 2013, you should consider this duvet cover featuring characters from the movie Frozen. Sofia The First 'Amulet' is another popular choice. Or you can always ask your kids what is their favorite Disney movie and go from there.
Polka Dot Duvet Cover
Polka dots never seem to go out of style. They can make any room appear youthful and fun. It is a cool pattern that is often seen in children's rooms.
This duvet cover is a favorite of mine. It includes a lot of bright colors that kids love, like pink, green, and orange. This polka dot and circles duvet cover has a pink background on one side and a white background on the other. The pillow shams are reversible as well. Which means you can change the look with an easy flip.
This duvet cover can help brighten up rooms with white walls. Simply use the same colors from this duvet cover to decorate around your child's bedroom. Neon colored bean bag chairs go great with this pattern.
