Large Floor Pillows are Perfect For Dorm Rooms
Large Floor Pillows Make Sitting Fun and Comfortable
When I was a kid I used to sit on the floor all the time. I used to lie down in front of the television as it was way more comfortable than sitting on the couch. That was until my mum saw this program that clued her into the dust mites that live in the carpet and we were never allowed to sit, lie or roll around on the carpet ever again.
Now I have a better solution for my aging back and my mum's sense of hygiene! I can use a really large floor pillow, or bean bag, to get the same kind of comfort I used to get when sitting on the floor. I love that they are so versatile and yet are so comfortable. I can watch TV, read a book, play computer games, write the latest article on my computer, watch a movie or even have a snooze on them. This makes them great for the living room, dorm room or even the bedroom.
What I really like about these pillows is that unlike a conventional seat or couch, I can easily move them from room to room. They come in different colors so you can use them to also decorate a room or as an accent to the room. And they are easy to wash and keep clean. Plus they are great as extra seats for when guests turn up.
And it's a great way to spend time with my cat. He loves them even more than I do and sometimes I have to encourage him to let me on the cushion too!

Large Floor Cushions are Perfect For Dorms
I remember when I first went to college. I was super excited to finally get my own room.
It didn't matter that I had seen closets that were larger than my new room, but having it all to myself was what mattered most.
Of course, this initial euphoria wore off pretty fast.
The furniture was stuck to the floor and the walls and couldn't be moved or re-arranged. Even if it could be moved, there was nowhere to move it to. I could lie in my new bed and touch both walls at the same time if I stretched my arms out as far as they could go.
Space was at a premium in my grey cell. However, I quickly realized that I could make the space more comfortable with large cushions.
I Love to Read
Studying.... Not so Much
I love to read. I read fantasy novels all the time.
It wasn't comfortable to try to read my books at the small desk that was in my dorm room. Even reading in bed didn't feel right to me.
At home I would have read on the couch, but at college the couch was in the common room where people were watching TV together, playing music and generally being really loud. Not the best place to try and lose yourself in a foreign land!
However, this large floor dorm pillow is perfect! You can use your laptop or tablet on it. You can turn around and rest your head while reading on it. It's highly versatile and can be used for lots of things, including studying.
You can daydream while lying on it, or even fold it in half to sit up in bed. It's exactly what I would have loved while living at college and it's small enough to not take up much room in my tiny coffin (sorry dorm room).
When it's not in use you can put it in the wardrobe or under the bed. And it's really handy as another seat for when someone comes to visit you in your room. It can also double as a noise blocker if you have roomies that like to play loud music. Trust me, there will be quite a few of those.
Quick Question About Large Floor Pillows
Do You Have a Large Pillow For Lounging on Like These
This one is really large and is perfect for the whole family or for those that are really popular at college!
Large Floor Cushions For Larger Dorms
If you have a larger dorm room, or are living in a shared house while at college, then this type of large cushion type seat is the perfect solution.
Not only will it be great for yourself to study on, sit on, lie down down or even read on, but it will also be great for when guests or friends come over.
Some of these bean bag type chairs can sit up to four people on them. And the best thing is they can be moved to any room easily. So you can keep it in your room and take it to the lounge or TV room when you want a comfy seat to watch the game etc.
Also great if you want to get your friends over for a night of gaming on the latest console etc.
And you can also use them as focus points for a room. You might have boring grey walls that you can't do anything about, but you can jazz the place up with a bright floor cushion like these. Most of these come in a multitude of different colors. You cans tick with easy to keep clean colors like dark brown or black, or you can go with vibrant colors to add some personality to room, such as red, yellow or green.
I personally love the brown ones the best.
And they are a lot easier to take home at the end of the year than an actual sofa would be!
These are proving to be very popular and students everywhere are getting them!
And if you have a smaller room where you are sharing with someone else, then it might be a great idea to make your beds into bunk beds so you have more room. Then when people come to visit they can sit on these large bean bag style seats rather than the floor or on your bed.
In some dorm rooms you also have the possibility to loft your bed. I'd suggest you do as it will instantly free up floor space.
Here's a Dorm Room Tour For You
Now here's a dorm room tour from a really girly girl and has some tips for you.
Now my room at college was half the size of this room since it was a single room. However, I wish I'd been able to loft but it wasn't an option in my dorm. If it's an option in your room I'd do it and these girls show you why.
If You are Accident-prone - Here's something that is waterproof and wipes clean with a damp cloth
If you are a bit accident proof and are likely to spill tea or food on your seat, then this might be a better option for you.
You won't be able to get as many people on this seat unless you're really close to them! However, it would be perfect for studying, reading etc and also great for watching the game with friends or playing your guitar!
It even has a really cool place to keep your water bottle, while you watch your favorite player score a touchdown or learn those new chords.
