Libman Mop

Updated on May 7, 2015

Libman Wonder Mop

Moping with the regular mop is both exhausting and at the same time only cleans the center of the room. Every time I mop with the old fashion mop I end up collecting the dirt from the whole room at the edges under the walls and the corners. Then comes the kneeling part with the brush and a bucket.

Libman wonder mop, on the other hand, is like a dirt eraser. It does wonders compared to any other regular mop if used properly. It might be just a little more costly compared to the regular mop, but on the long term if saves big time.

Why Libman Wonder Mop?

Libman wonder mop is light weight, compared to the regular mop, even when it's wet. It's light enough for a disabled senior to use it without the hassle.

The other thing I really like about it is that the mop head can be washed in the washing machine (and then air-dried, never use the dryer) and can be reused for a long time before it needs replacement. Compare that with the Swift disposable pads (money flushed down the toilet). That's why it saves. The replacement mop heads are also available in many brick and mortar stores and they are cheap. You can also order them from Amazon.com.

I also like the fact that it moves easily on the floor (I have old hardwood floor).

Why NOT Libman Wonder Mop!

Here is why: Libman wonder mop is not for spot cleaning. I mean you can use it to clean stains and sopts from you kids or pets, but it's a lot of work. It's better to use a steam mop like Hoover Twintank steam mop (I love it).

The other thing is that it doesn't absorb spells very well. Spells can be absorbed with a sponge, and should be absorbed first before you start moping. This is what one of the reveiwers said on Amazon.

Use Libman Wonder Mop Properly

And by that I mean: follow the instructions. The instructions say that you need to soak it in hot water for 5 minutes before use. If you don't it's not going to clean properly.

The other thing is that there is a lip where the mop head connects to the stick, after you're done with moping invert it so that it's upside down. If you don't water will stay on that lip and make the stick rust at this point and break easily.

After you finish using the mop clean the mop head under running water in the sink to get rid of the big clumps of dirty stuff, then wash it in the washing machine and let it dry on top of the dryier. This way the mop head will live longer and give you good results.

They Go Best Together

It's really cheap to buy it on Amazon, and you can get free shipping on it if your order exceeds $15. To do that you can buy other stuff that you'll need anyway, like the replacement mop head (they call it "refill" on Amzon :-)).
