Lysol Disinfectant Spray Product Review

The Lysol brand has been around for a long time. Although, it seems that Lysol has a bit of a sorted past for various applications, it is a very good product and is useful in many hospitals and elderly care homes as well as day care nurseries.

Lysol disinfectant spray claims to kill 99.9% of germs, bacteria and fungi that cause illness and viruses that lay in wait on the hard non-porous surfaces within the home.

Lysol Uses

Our family has been using Lysol for many years. I remember mother using the liquid Lysol in the diaper pail and while doing other types of cleaning from the kitchen to the bathroom. Whether she was mopping the floors or the counter tops or wiping down the baby bed mattress.

Lysol was the first product she would reach for while cleaning.

Using Lysol Spray Today

We still use it today, yet now we have the convenience and choice of using Lysol disinfectant spray. I do still use a bit of Lysol in the laundry; however, I do most often reach for the Lysol disinfectant spray to take care of the many things that may need disinfecting and refreshing. For instance, while cleaning the bathroom, I may spray the areas around the toilet, sinks, tub and facets. Any time we have a stomach virus or a cold virus in the house, I use Lysol to disinfect the areas required to help reduce the risks of others getting ill as well. This can include anything from the telephone, the furniture upholstery, curtains and even the carpet.

Using Lysol Spray

Lysol disinfectant spray is ideal for spraying down the mattresses and pillows to keep them sanitized and smelling fresh. The garbage cans generally, get a really good dose of Lysol spray to eliminate any odors. Although Lysol disinfectant spray, is not an air freshener it does do wonders in eliminating the odors of cooking and many others.

However, there are other types of this brand of disinfectant, you can use for cleaning. For instance, there are convenient wipes that are most useful as well as easy to use.

Lysol Spray Scents

When I make a purchase of Lysol disinfectant spray I generally buy the 19-ounce size can, since it seems you get a better bargain for the price you pay to use this product. However, I have found that having the larger can seems nice - but, the cap wears out or sticks really bad when you have about 1/3 of a can left for use. I am disappointed in this fact. It has happened to me twice so, I began using the regular size cans again. Lysol disinfectant spray is available in seven different scents.

These include:

  • Citrus Meadows
  • Country Scent
  • Crisp Linen
  • Early Morning Breeze
  • Garden Mist
  • Spring Waterfall
  • Summer Breeze.

I have tried the Crisp Linen, Country Scent and the Garden Mist. I am currently using the Garden Mist and I do believe it is a bit too flowery for my senses; however, I think I do like the best of these three that I have tried is the Crisp Linen scent.
