My Favorite Summer Nook for Reading My NOOK

Updated on June 13, 2013

Relaxing in the Summer Sun

I love to spend the lazy days of summer relaxing in my favorite summer nook that is my favorite summer spot but it's not just about the lake view. For a place to truly be my favorite it requires a little something of everything which makes me happy. And maybe the little loves of mine, like a comfy hammock chair, are just what you need to turn your summer spot into your favorite summer place.

Hammock Chair With Foot Rest - Perfect for All Ages Who Want to Relax

This hammock chair is the one you see me enjoying. The chair is super easy to set up, extremely comfortable, and includes a foot rest. Unlike many simple hammocks made of only netting the chair has actual shape making it easy to get in and out of without breaking a sweat. Everyone from my young cousins to the oldest at our family reunions enjoys this chair. This is the perfect pick for your patio furniture choice!

My father always wanted a hammock chair and so one Father's Day I got him one. He liked it but I loved it and still do. Hammock chairs are so ridiculously comfortable and made the perfect place for sitting and reading, sleeping, or merely taking in the sights around you.

A Comfy Swing with a View - So Relaxing

I love sitting in a comfy hammock chair while watching the sun go down. There is something so incredibly amazing about sunset in the summer which leaves you gaping in wonder. The picture above is from June's second sunset. I had to capture the moment for all its beauty on camera.

Barnes & Noble NOOK Color eBook - Completely recommended by me!

If you are looking for the best ereader on the market then I strongly recommend my top choice, the Barnes & Noble Nook Color. I chose NOOK color over the ipad & kindle because I loved the perfect size (not to small..not to large), crystal clear color, easy access to wi-fi, and having an awesome support team in the Barnes & Noble company. Not to mention the millions of free ebooks (including classics like A Tale of Two Cities, Dracula, etc) and all of them are easily accessed merely via the Shop section of your NOOK color without having to download to your computer first.

I must admit another reason to choose NOOK Color is for the wonderful supportive people at Barnes & Noble. They have a place in every store where you can bring your ereader to get a check-up, have your questions answered, or merely drop it off to get charged while you shop. Talking to someone in person about a problem makes a huge difference over dealing through a phone system or having to deal with making an appointment at a store. And when I had a problem with my charger or power cord they gave me a replacement one (for free) which made me super happy to have everything so easily dealt with.

I use my NOOK Color every single day. For me it is wayyyy more than an ereader. I use it as a laptop, a reference book, a weather guide, an alarm clock...the list goes on and on. If you have yet to get an ereader or are not satisfied with your current one then choose NOOK Color.

Barnes & Noble Nook Color e-Reader Hard Cover Cases - If you are not perfect...consider getting one

Keep your Nook Color looking good with one of these fun hard cover cases. I always keep a hard cover one on mine and it has saved my Nook more times than I know. Plus they make it easy for transport and are a great way to pick your NOOK Color out of the crowd.

Long Summer Sun & Maxidresses - Stay Cool & Comfortable in the Summer Sun

I love wearing a long airy sundress outside on nice summer days. They make it easy to move around and completely comfortable for relaxation. If you are going to be spending time outside this summer then consider getting a simple dress or two. The ones here are in the same sleeveless airy style as the striped one I am wearing in the photographs.
