Outdoor Gas Fire Pit Review

Updated on September 17, 2013

My Outdoor Gas Fire Pit

So what made me want to write about my outdoor gas fire pit? Well the simple truth is that with Summer now on its way (fingers crossed) me and my family will soon start to venture outdoors, invite friends over and have a few BBQ's.

However even though the days and nights are still not that warm it doesn't stop us getting some fresh air. We love to sit outside and relax with a glass of wine and simply talk whilst being kept warm by our fire pit.

Over the past few years we have had a few different types in our garden, ranging in all different prices as well. Our first few fire pits were basic models. However do not let that distract you from buying one if your current budget doesn't allow you to buy an outdoor gas fire pit.

If you are interested in buying a standard fire pit, I would strongly suggest visiting AMAZON as they literally have hundreds of them for sale. I have included some links further down the page to what I consider to be great value and looking standard (non gas) fire pits.

Beautiful & Relaxing Outdoor gas fire pit

We currently don't have the facility to transfer video onto our computer, so the following YouTube clip is an example of a fire pit I particularly like and think would be really lovely to sit by on a cold winters night.

Our Current Fire Pit

Whilst I really love the fire pit that I featured in my video, when we were looking to buy our latest fire pit we wanted to not only use it as a design feature in the garden. One that would keep us warm during those cold nights or chilly afternoons but we also wanted it to be practical as well.

With this in mind we chose an outdoor gas fire pit that we could also use as a table and the Sierra Fire Pit fitted all of our needs. We simply love it!

5 Gas Fire Pits

The following are 5 outdoor gas fire pits that I think are good value and would certainly look good in anyone's home.

Thanks for Squidlike of my Lens. I really like the look of the Aluminium Strathwood St Thomas fire pit. Wonder if it would give off enough heat?

My wife purchased a small outdoor fire pit a few years ago & it has yet to have had a fire in it. Now if it was a gas model, then you betcha - it's be used every evening!

I really want a outdoor fire out for this summer, but I'm not sure which way I'm going to go with one yet. Thanks for the informative lens!
