Poo Spray Recipe

Updated on October 12, 2014

Make Your Own Poo Spray and Make Your Home Smell Like You Never Go

I recently saw a commercial for a poo spray that you spray in the toilet before going, er, well, you know, number two.

The spray acts as a barrier between the air and the poo once it lands. I thought this was a fabulous idea but being the tightwad I am, I decided instead of buying it, I'd make my own poo spray!

I bought some essential oils and some little spray bottles and was on my way. I'll walk you through making your own poo spray or if you can't be bothered, you can check out the pre-made stuff available to buy.

Either way, your bathroom will thank you!

Ingredients for Poo Spray - Make It Yourself and Save!

I'm a sucker for good products, especially those that are funny and actually work. This one does the trick on both accounts.

I gave some poo spray to my sister to add to the Christmas party gag gift collection our family always plays at their get together each year. They live in another state but their poo still stinks from afar. These little bottles of bathroom spray were a hit!

The "Real" Poo Pourri - In Case You Can't Be Bothered To Make Your Own

Here is the real stuff: Poo Pourri. Watch the video below and smile!

This woman makes going potty so funny. But that odor really is no laughing matter. Is it?

How to Make Poo Spray - It's Easy!

Used a mixture of essential oils to make knockoff poo spray. Add your signature mixture of oil and water to a bottle.

How much essential oil to use depends on the bottle size. For this one, I used about 1/4 inch of essential oil then filled the bottle with water.

To Use Poo Spray

Before going number two, shake bottle,

aim at toilet water, and spray a few nice spritzes.

Be sure to shake to mix

:) There are these small bottle of drops called "One Drop" or something like that we have here in Hawaii. They come from Japan. I never thought of making my own, but this would be a great alternative. :)

I was at a friends house and she had a product like this; she gave me one to bring home, and it really works great!

Hahahahaha! Probably, yes. Good idea. I may give this a try. The video is a gas. (Hope you don't mind my using that outdated term, showing my age. Seemed appropriate in this instance.)
