Quick, Easy & Affordable Greenhouse

Updated on June 14, 2014

If you don't have a lot of space or a pile of money, this is a great option for a quick and easy greenhouse.

It comes packed in a box that isn't too big to fit in a normal car. It is a bit heavy since the shelving is made of metal. But that is actually a good thing. The metal shelving is sturdy and fits together very well. When you have the shelves all assembled you tie them with special ties to help hold it all together. The whole thing when it is put together actually feels pretty stable. And if you need to it will be easy to pack it up and take it somewhere else!

The shelves are slatted so water will not build up on them. They are painted green so it really looks great with plants and probably will not rust! The water will drain through and could water plants below if you would want that. If not, then you could also line each shelf with pans to catch the water. That would also keep humidity around the plants in the pans.

If you live in a windy area I would suggest that you do secure it with some stakes just as insurance.

This version you can actually stand inside of. I am 6-1 and I could enter and turn around quite easily. There is another version which is a lot smaller.

There are coverings so you can choose to have maximum light or even a mesh if you are in a brighter area. The only thing that you will need to add is the plants and maybe a fan to keep the air moving around in it.

Want to see how easy it is? Watch now!

You can be self sufficient with your greenhouse!

@angelatvs: It seems very sturdy. Just make sure it is on a level surface and that you secure it to the ground so it won't blow away if you have strong winds. (it would have to be really windy!)

Is it sturdy? I've been thinking about one of these.
