Get Organized with Rubbermaid Storage Sheds

Minimalism is catching on, and I'm excited about streamlining. I'm sharing what I've learned about decluttering and simplifying our lives.

Find The Right Rubbermaid Storage Shed for Your Needs

The outdoor storage shed is, perhaps, one of the most important pieces of equipment for anyone that enjoys gardening or taking care of their lawn.

I don't know about you, but I never seem to have enough storage in the house or garage. Add one of these to take care of all the seasonal supplies and tools that you need to store.

In addition to keeping your tools safe and secure, they also provide the perfect place to keep everything nice and organized so you can find things when you need them. There is nothing worse than going to look for something and not being able to find it quickly.

With that being said, Rubbermaid storage sheds are really high quality, and therefore the most popular, types of outdoor storage sheds available. Take a few minutes and explore these truly versatile storage containers.

I like an extra-deep shed so bicycles can roll right into it. This one will hold a push lawnmower too. No wood, so it is maintenance free. That means no sanding or painting... EVER. It is molded to look like vinyl siding and the doors have a nice look too.

It takes about an hour to snap the parts together. Fill it with your garden supplies, a gas can and other things you don't want in the house.

Back in the Good-Old-Days

Back in our grandparents or great grandparents' day, a shed like this served as their wash house. Constructed simply from lumber, it kept the mess of laundry day out of the house. It might have just a dirt floor or possibly a wood floor. Luckily we have electric washers and dryers now so no longer need a shed in the backyard for that purpose.

Now we have so many other storage needs that our ancestors never even dreamed of. Storing the power lawn mower, the leaf blower, the power washer for the deck, the weed whacker and so many other tools that weren't available back in the 1920s, 30s or 40s.

The style and materials for a storage space have changed a lot over the years too. Now with rigid plastics, there are many variations to fit our different needs.

Rubbermaid Storage Sheds - and Deck Boxes

Rubbermaid gives plenty of choices for those who want smaller storage sheds. It all depends on how much you need to stash away and how big your yard is.

We find that we like to have a variety of these so we can place them around the property close to where we use the contents. I have one for my garden supplies, another for our boating gear and one for the deck storage needs.

How about a place to keep the tall stuff? Think of ladders, sets of golf clubs and other vertical items.

@lkamom: We just bought two of the smaller ones and they were quite easy to assemble. One part was missing, but a phone call took care of that. They sent the piece quickly.
