Find a Sliding Glass Door Bookcase

Updated on December 7, 2012

High Quality Bookshelves with Sliding Glass Doors

Bookcases are a really great accent to any room. The problem with them is that they often gather dust really easily. Have you ever tried to dust books? Yeah, it's not all that fun.

One way you can get around this is by getting a sliding door bookcase. The doors prevent the dust from the rest of the room getting in. Sliding doors save some space.

The glass, however, is the best part. It shows off your collection while at the same time allowing you to choose a book before you even open the doors.

So take a look around. These are some of your options and there's something for everyone and every style here. Thanks for stopping by!

Solid Oak Bookcase with Sliding Glass Doors

The Most Expensive Bookcase Option on the List

European Solid Oak Bookcase with Sliding Doors

There are some good looking wooden bookcases with sliding doors out there, but this one certainly takes the cake.

It's certainly the largest on the list, measuring 104W x 20D x 99H inches. It's also clearly the highest quality, with both the case and the shelves made of solid oak. It has 8 shelves on top and storage space underneath...all doors slide.

This is clearly the best bookcase on the list, but it will cost you a pretty penny. If you can afford it and have the space, this is certainly the way to go.

Inexpensive Wooden Bookcase Options

The first is an wooden espresso colored cabinet with 8 shelves, 5 of which are adjustable. You're better off buying this bookcase if your collection consists mostly of paperback books as its biled as a media cabinet. It's probably not as strong as the other options, but definitely less expensive.

The second option is a wooden cappuccino colored bookcase with lots of space to store just about anything you need. This one is a bit more expensive.

Executive Steel 4 Shelf Bookcase with Glass Doors

This is a light gray and glass book case made of steel, instead of wood like the other options. If you're going for a clean look then this is the right option for you.

The case has 4 shelves, 3 of which are adjustable by 2 inches each. The whole unit measures 36"w x 15"d x 52"h.

The glass doors are made of tempered glass and can even lock if you wish (key included).

Solid, Sturdy Bookcase Options

The following options are all over $1000, but with the price comes improved quality and looks. My favorite is the mahogany option because it's so versatile, elegant, and beautiful.
