Star Wars Kitchen Items

Updated on January 22, 2014

Make Your Own Star Wars Dream Kitchen!

I've always wanted to make my own Star Wars Kitchen. A Star Wans fanboy kitchen of epic proportions. Themed appliances and Star Wars decorations everywhere. . . it sounds like heaven! (Gee..I wonder why I'm a SINGLE dad.) At first it may seem odd, but think about it! How much fun would that be? Think about it. What better way to start your day than with some Dark Side coffee and some Star Wars pancakes? Don't forget to let that Star Wars toaster burn the image of Darth Vader right into your toast. That's all just the start of the day! Imagine how much fun prepping dinner could be in a full Star Wars kitchen!

There are all sorts of spectacular Star Wars kitchen items out there. From Star Wars appliances, to utensils, to oven mitts and aprons; the Force can be with you in the kitchen too! I decided to make a lens devoted to all the the great Star Wars kitchen items available to today's Star Wars fan. Although it's impossible to list all of the Star Wars kitchen items available to today's Star Wars fan, I wanted to make one central location where fans could go to learn about some of the most popular and most interesting Star Wars kitchen items. So have fun and be sure to leave me a comment or vote for your favorite item before you leave!

Why a Star Wars Kitchen?

"Why a Star Wars Kitchen?"

I ask, "Why not?" If you aren't a true Star Wars fan you'd probably never understand. Surrounding yourself with Star Wars is simply a way of life for the true Star Wars fan. Considering the amount of time we spend in the kitchen, a Star Wars themed kitchen just seems like a natural idea. While it may not be the best decorating move to appeal to the masses, or to improve the resale value of your home, it's still fun!

If you are a Star Wars fan cohabitating with someone who isn't such a fan of Star Wars then you probably can't design a Star Wars dream kitchen. Full length wall murals and painting the Star Wars logo on the refrigerator probably aren't going to be an option. Have no fear however, you can still enjoy many of the cool Star Wars kitchen gadgets and items shown here. You'll just have to tone it down a notch and be willing to stow it all away out of sight when not in use. With that in mind I've taken a great deal of time to put together some of the coolest Star Wars kitchen items and gadgets available. I hope you enjoy!

Star Wars Millennium Falcon Bottle Opener

I cannot think of a better way to open an ice cold bottled beverage! This metal Millennium Falcon bottle opener looks just like Han's famous smuggling ship, the Millennium Falcon.

This nifty Star Wars kitchen item even has a magnet on the back so you can proudly display it on your refrigerator etc. Priced at just $19.99, this ThinkGeek exclusive is sure to be in high demand, so grab yours today!

Darth Vader & Stormtrooper Salt & Pepper Shakers

Season your food in style with this awesome Star Wars themed salt and pepper shaker set. This ceramic salt and pepper set is the perfect addition to a Star Wars Kitchen.

The black pepper shaker is printed to look just like Darth Vader's helmet. The salt shaker is designed to look just like a Storm Trooper's helmet. Each shaker measures about 4" tall.

Don't sleep on these because they are hard to find Star Wars Celebration VI (2012) exclusives. They're available in limited quantities - once they're gone, they're gone forever! Grab yours today while they last for just $19.99.

Lord Vader, your toast is ready!

Even the Sith should eat a balanced breakfast. What better way to get those healthy grains than a Star Wars Darth Vader toaster? When you are a Sith lord or a true Star Wars fan it's not enough to simply make toast. You need to do it with style. Enter this bad boy of the toaster world.

This is probably one of my favorites. This sleek and modern looking gloss black toaster features a Star Wars logo on the side and looks great in any kitchen. It's what happens on the inside that makes this toaster go from ho-hum MEH kitchen appliance to the stuff of Fan Boy dreams. Drop a slice of bread into both slots and when the toast pops up each slice will feature the image of Darth Vader's helmet burned into it! Too cool.

Be careful because light sabers do NOT make good butter knives!

Availability Update: The Darth Vader Toaster is currently not available. It was a thinkgeek/Star Wars Shop exclusive. When the Star Wars Shop closed they went bye bye along with some other great Star Wars kitchen items. They are available at times from private sellers on sites like ebay etc.

These were available exclusively via the official Star Wars shop but now you can also get the Slave Leia apron at ThinkGeek.

Check out this cool Darth Vader inspired cooking apron. Although not an officially licensed product (booooooo!) it is still hilarious. This black apron features the phrase, "Come to the Dark Side. We have cookies." printed on the front and is lovingly signed "-V".

I bet Lord Vader makes a mean chocolate chip cookie!

Do you have a youngling with a sense of humor? Perhaps you are raising a young sith apprentice who can't manage to keep themselves clean at mealtime? There's no need for your little one to look like Jabba the Hutt after scarfing down a frog when they are done eating.

Like any great Sith accessory this one will do the dirty work for you. This black cotton bib features the phrase

"Come to the Dark Side, We have cookies. . . - V" in white writing and sports a white trim and velcro enclosure.

I'm not saying I want your precious little one to be evil, but cookies are pretty convincing!

The awesome Death Star Star Wars cookie jar is currently priced at around $49.99. Can you think of a better way to store cookies in your Star Wars kitchen?

UPDATE: December 2011 - It seems sales of the Death Star Cookie Jar disappeared somewhere along the way. Once available at ThinkGeek and we currently can't locate a source for the Star Wars Death Star cookie jar shown above. This was originally supposed to be a exclusive and ThinkGeek had worked out I deal with them as well. Since has shut down I can only assume the lack of availability of the Death Star Cookie Jar has something to do with the closure. I'm currently trying to find other sources for this awesome cookie jar and I'll post an update if and when I learn more.

Unless you have a robotic hand (quit showing off Vader) or have mastered the ways of the force you can't remove your Jedi dinner from a red hot oven without a little protection. Now I suppose any old potholder or oven mitt will do, but when you are a Star Wars fan you need something with a little more flair for your Star Wars kitchen. vWhen an officially licensed Star Wars oven mitt is available to serve the purpose, ordinary pot holders and oven mitts are suddenly out of the question.

Check out this awesome space slug oven mitt! This oven mitt is modeled after the famous space slug or "cave" that Hann Solo decided to hide the Millennium Falcon in the Empire Strikes Back. It even features a tiny Millennium Falcon imprinted within its cute little mouth! This outrageous oven mitt measures about 12" in length and is constructed of a fire-retardant nomex cotton blend. Grab yours for about $20 by clicking the photo above.

They're lightsabers, they're chopsticks, they're BOTH! They'll also change the way you experience eating your favorite Asian foods. Heck with chopsticks this cool you'll be eating many of your favorite non-Asian foods with them too!

So you've yet to master the ability to use the force to pop the top off beer bottles at parties...keep trying you'll get it! In the meantime pick up one of these handy little Star Wars lightsaber bottle openers to pry the lid off your favorite beverage of choice. Ok, so this one technically isn't an official Star Wars kitchen item but I still think it looks cool. I don't know about you, but the LED glow of the faucet's water stream in the photo above sure reminds me of a light saber.

This awesome little faucet attachment fits most U.S. Standard faucets and colors the water with a very cool blue or red LED glow.

This ultra cool faucet light will attach to most standard kitchen and bathroom faucets in the United States. When you turn on the water the stream of water flowing through the brushed chrome chamber lights up the LED lights and the water glows a cool blue. As the water heats up and warms to above 89 degrees Fahrenheit it will turn Sith red! This not only looks awesome, its also a great way to protect those little Star Wars fans from burns.

The faucet light is powered by it's pre-installed LR4 watch batteries and even comes with a second set of batteries! Here's what you get for your purchase price of around $20.00:

- Chamber with LEDs

- Batteries pre-installed plus a set of spare batteries (uses LR44 watch batteries)

- Instruction Sheet

- Two universal adapters included. (The LED faucet light fits most standard faucets in the USA. Not recommended for faucets outside of the USA.)

- Dimensions: 2.25" tall, 1.25" diameter.

Click the image above to go grab your own Faucet light and give that sink in your Star Wars kitchen the finishing touch it needs.

If you like the kitchen faucet light you might also enjoy the LED shower light. That's right, the same site even has an LED lighted shower head that colors your shower water. My favorite part is the shower light is powered entirely by the flow of water. No batteries required!

Star Wars Coffee Cups on Ebay

Looking for Star Wars coffee mugs? Ebay can be a great source for new and older vintage Star Wars mugs. Here's one word of advice though. Be careful to check whether your Star Wars coffee mug is dishwasher safe before putting it in the dishwasher. I purchased an older Star Wars coffee mug for my son at a yard sale once and naively assumed since it was ceramic it was dishwasher safe. Let's just say the ceramic may be dishwasher safe but the paint or glaze wasn't. Poor Princess Leia was completely white after the finish blew off in the dishwasher. This is particularly a problem for the older character head vintage mugs but it's a good idea to check your mug before washing, or just play it safe and hand was them only if you're really paranoid.

Star Wars Drinkware

Star Wars drinking glasses, cups, etc.

No Star Wars themed kitchen would be complete without some cool collectible Star Wars drinking glasses. While you may have some awesome Star Wars drinking glasses, that doesn't mean you want your cantina, kitchen or coffee tables messed up with nasty little rings from a sweating glass. No problem! These Star Wars coasters are the perfect answer to protecting your Star Wars kitchen and other surfaces from damage.

This set of four laminated wood Star Wars coasters features Luke Skywalker (with green lightsaber), Darth Vader, Boba Fett, and Han Solo. Currently priced at under $9.00 these are the perfect addition to any Star Wars kitchen. Click the image above to learn more or to grab your set before they are gone.

A Word About Availability of Some of These Products

Where did they go?

Around the Holiday shopping season of 2011 it came to my attention that many of the Star Wars items listed on this page aren't easily located anymore. It started out as just the Death Star cookie jar. Then I received messages asking where the Darth Vader toaster can be found. Before I knew it the majority of the major items listed on this lens were gone. It seems to have something to do with the closing of WAS the official shop of It was the premiere place to find unique StarWars gifts and collectibles online. In July of 2011 the folks at hastily announced they were closing their doors. Notification to fans and affiliates of the consisted of little but this message on the site a few days before the actual closing:

"Star Wars Shop has closed its virtual doors.

Starting on July 18th, we will no longer be selling merchandise on But stay tuned!

We know discovering the best of the best of the Star Wars universe is important to you, and we are focused on delivering that at

We are hard at work on finding new ways to showcase Star Wars merchandise and we'll have more to share with you on that front in the coming months."

As an affiliate that worked hard to promote the site and the awesome products once available there, and as a Star Wars fan, I'll try to keep my personal feelings about the lack of communication regarding the closing to myself. I have no no idea if there will ever be another "official" Star Wars shop as it once existed online.

What does this closing have to do with not being able to find the Star Wars kitchen items on this page? Many of the items shown here are/were exclusives. In other words they were designed for and sold through or their network ONLY.

Some sites such as had partnership deals worked out to offer their customers exclusives. When the site closed down the supply of many of the Star Wars kitchen items listed here shut down with it.

I am hesitant to remove many of the items in this lens affected by the closure for a couple of reasons.

1. It was a great deal of work putting this lens together. If the items ever become available again I could quickly update this lens with new links to the items.

2. These are still awesome Star Wars kitchen items. They are STILL out there...they just aren't as easy as they once were to find.

I truly apologize to all the Star Wars fans who come here and get excited about an awesome Star Wars kitchen item only to discover they can't easily order it. Some of these items can still be found on sites such as ebay or amazon. However, as with any scarce Star Wars collectible, you can usually expect to pay a little more than you'd like when you do find it!

To my knowledge the following items are affected by the closure of, or are otherwise unavailable at the sources we list:

1. The Darth Vader Toaster (You can still find these on ebay, amazon etc....but they've been running in the $80.00 to $100.00 range as of 1/2012)

2. The Death Star Cookie Jar. (To this date I'm not sure how many were actually made.)

3. The Space Slug Oven Mitt

4. The Star Wars Costume Aprons (Princess Leia, Darth Vader Aprons)

5. The R2-D2 Peppermill

I'll keep everyone posted as I learn more or when I locate some of these awesome Star Wars kitchen items again!

I don't know if you've seen this, but thought you might enjoy it:

That's not an affiliate link, nor a link to a site I own, just a link to a shirt that I suspect would be right up your alley. My husband has this shirt and wears it with pride.

Be aware that this shirt will only be available for sale as long as it is in the top 20 list. Once it drops below 20, it will be retired. So if you are interested, better to get it now. (That's the way Shirt Woot works.)

I tried to order the R2D2 peppermill from thinkgeek in december. It was out of stock so they were going to email me when it became available again. Two weeks ago I received an email that it has been discontinued.

@anonymous: ThinkGeek and the Star Wars Shop were the two main places to find one. I know ThinkGeek HAD them..but they're out of stock now and I'm not sure if they will ever have them again. I have a feeling it may have something to do with closing down.

Due to Christmas/Holiday shopping demand it looks like the old and Ebay stand-bys aren't turning up any Darth Vader Toasters either! There were a few of them on ebay toward the beginning of December. I know one seller was charging around $80 for them!

Unfortunately I don't think you are going to easily find one, especially in time for Christmas. =(

I'll keep checking and keep you posted if I'm able to locate one. Please let me know if you manage to find a site selling them!

@anonymous: Thanks so much for posting about your trouble finding the Death Star cookie jars. I wasn't aware there was an issue with the supplier but apparently there is. I know for a fact SOME Death Star Cookie Jars were made. I've seen them and you can actually see one in one of ThinkGeek's YouTube videos as well:

I have no idea how many Death Star Cookie Jars were actually made and sold though. The Death Star cookie jar was originally intended to be a exclusive.

Since is no longer open I'm assuming the scarcity of the Death Star Cookie Jar has something to do with the closure of

I'm currently unable to find an online supplier of the cookie jar myself but I'll continue to look into the matter. I'll post any updates I have as soon as I find out more.

Was the Death Star cookie jar ever actually made and sold? I've checked over a dozen sites, and all say it's currently unavailable, but even on ebay I've never seen one up for sale.
