Sun Terracottas For Your Home and Garden

Updated on September 9, 2014

Sun Terracotta

Looking for the perfect terracotta sun decor for your garden or home? You've found the right place! Terracotta (in Italian meaning Baked Earth) is clay-based unglazed ceramic.Clay terra cotta has been used throughout history for sculpture and pottery, as well as bricks and roof shingles. In ancient times, the first clay sculptures were dried (baked) in the sun after being formed.

Thankfully, today, they have become BEAUTIFUL art forms that we can put in our homes and gardens! =)

When you think about decorating your garden or house the first thing to think about is a sun art piece! These are beautiful decorations to put anywhere you'd like. It brings "sunshine" right into your home as well if you wanted to hang it on a wall in your living room. These are usually heavier pieces of decor so you need to be careful when considering where you hang them. You will need a heavy duty nail and make sure you put a stud finder on the wall first. Safety first!

Stunning Terracotta Clock - Perfect for indoors AND outdoors!

This is my favorite decor piece because it's so unique and fun! I have one on the wall of my patio and it's gorgeous. Just make sure you anchor it good because you don't want it to fall and break.

Sun Terracotta For The Garden

Place these gorgeous art pieces on your patio!

These clay art pieces are just gorgeous! I love the pots the most, they would be so cute on a patio or in the middle of a flower garden! Sizes can range from a baby flower pot to a enormous sculpture. I've even seen these at home depot and lowes! Go to the garden section and check out some of them available.

What Does The Sign Mean?

Your sun sign describes your basic nature and the personality traits that remain constant through the ups and downs of life. It is the image you shine out to the world, but it comes from that truest, innermost part of you. The sun, which is actually a star, is at the center of the Solar System, and likewise, your sun sign describes your unique personal center.-Molly Hall

Fabulous Sun Pottery - Fun faces to look at!

When choosing the right face, look for small details. Each face is different whether they are smiling, frowning or are unique. When I look at these sculptures I can't help but think who the artist was behind each one. Find a connection with the piece of art so then you'll be sure to smile everytime you walk past it at home.

Thermometer For Outside - Great accessory for your patio

This thermometer is made out of the gorgeous material and it looks so chic in a garden or patio.

Love them?

Nice collection. I particularly like terracotta items when they have been weathered a bit and have a rustic appeal.
