The Best Small Table Saw
I have owned several small table saws over the years, I find them to be one of the most useful tools that I own. There are times certainly when I would like to have a big cabinet table saw in my shop but the reality is that my budget does not allow for that. The good news is that in the vast majority of cases I find that my small one can handle the job. Of all the models that I have used over the years my favorite is the Dewalt DW745.
The best thing about the Dewalt table saw is its cutting capacity. It has a telescoping fence that makes it possible to rip pieces of up to twenty inches which for a saw of this is size is really impressive. The fence itself is actually really nice, it is easy to adjust and it always parallel to the blade to ensure accurate cuts.
The other big thing that I like about this saw is that it has a lot of power for a small table saw. Obviously it can't compete with a big cabinet model but it does have enough power that it can make smooth clean cuts on even the hardest of woods.
The Dewalt saw is lightweight and easy to move around which is nice as I use mine all around the house. I also really like the fact that it has a steel tube roll cage which not only makes it easy to carry but also protects the saw.
As far as small table saws go I have been really impressed with mine, it can handle the vast majority of jobs that I need to do. To be sure it is not a replacement for a full size model and there are some things that can't be done, particularly if you are working with larger pieces of wood. For someone who has a small shop or needs a portable table saw however there is no better option.
Other Things You'll Need

If you are going to buy a small table saw you are going to need a place to put it, a stand can come in really handy.

If you are using your saw at a job site a rolling stand will save you all kinds of trouble.

A table saw is only as good as its blades so make sure that you invest in some good ones.
