Cedar fence posts are typically used for privacy in most neighborhoods in Houston and they are mostly left to weather naturally eventually turning gray in color. They last a fairly long time before needing to be replaced. I had never heard of vegetable oil being used to preserve wood. Interesting! Thanks!
