A Unique Garden Filled with Exotic and Rare Flowers

Lets face it, we all have our favorite flowers.

I love the sweet fragrance of the syringas and lilacs, the unique look of the parrot tulips, the colorful yet hards columbines, the adorable bleeding hearts are held close to my heart.

But many of us also have a desire for new delights to bring into our flower gardens, we visit other gardens, or nurserys and wonder what that gorgeous flower is. We don't know the name of it because we are seeing it for the first time.

I love those flowers that catch our eyes, that take your breathing away with their beauty, or the flowers that have you pondering on where they came from.

Well come on in my friend and experience a few of the unique delicate flowers that I find to be rare to my knowledge.

Climbing Shell Vine

They could not have picked a more perfect name for this little plant, with it's tiny little shell shaped flowers running circling around the vine. Delicate and beautiful as well as unique.

Angel Trumpet, Lavender

I absolutely fell in love with this gorgeous Lavender and creamy colored Angel Trumpet flower. Another well named flower as you can see the Trumpet shape of the bloom and the beauty of this plant is enough to make the angels sing!

Lily, Oriental Matthew Double

Oh my gosh, I am in love with this beauty and plan on ordering these for sure! They are so delicate and intricate and filled with gorgeous color! A rare flower for your enjoyment! But you will not be the only one to have one, because I will have one too!

Lotus Banana, Golden

Can you just imagine King Kong peeling back this Banana?

What a strange flower this one is, but very well named. It will be the talk of you garden!

Rose Tree, Weeping Red

Now I am sure you have heard of weeping willows.

All of us know the Rose well.

But how many people in your neighborhood have a Weeping Red Rose Tree?

So beautiful the Rose!

The Elusive, Rare and Exotic Heliconia Plant

Heavily photographed, but very hard to find to purchase

This is the very rarely seen, elusive to buy and very Exotic Heliconia Plant. It seems to be heavily photographed but very hard to find to purchase.

Heliconias do make wonderful landscape plants. Heliconias need lots of water, sunlight and soils rich in humus in order to grow well. Heliconias do not grow well in cold, dry conditions. They are very drought intolerant, but can endure some soil flooding.

These flowers are grown all over the world as ornamental plants, many of the photographs I see show them in wet tropical environments like Hawaii and Costa Rica.

I have decided that you must have a little red eyed green tree frog to go with your Heliconia plant too!

Prayer Plant, Mystifying

This plant is so cool, I love the way it folds up at night as if in prayer and opens in the morning. When I was young we used to play with what we called a sensitive plant, when you pet the leaves it would close tight and then slowly open after a few minutes had passed.

Queen's Tears

You can actually watch the tears form on this exotic indoor flowering plant, so unique!

You can find both of the above plants at:

Calla Lily, Jamaica

My husband and I went to Jamaica for our 25th Wedding Anniversary.

You would not believe how lush and green the plants and trees are. What I found so incredible was the delicious fragrance of the Exotic Tropical Flowers. This Little Jamaica Calla Lily brings back those Memories of the scent and sights of Jamaica!

It's' All Good!

Lily, Lollypop

They might call these the Lollypop Lily, but I call them fresh and pretty. What a breath of fresh air and a delight for our eyes these June and July blooming lilies will bring to your garden. Extremely rare they are!

Kiwi Collection - (2 Female & 1 Male)

Yes, you heard it beautiful flowers and delicious fruit. These are a hardy northern plant.

They recommend a delightful threesome of two females and one male, or at least one male for every five females....but come on, the female don't want to share that much!

A thing of beauty is a joy for ever:

Its loveliness increases; it will never

Pass into nothingness.

JOHN KEATS, Endymion

The Passion flower is so pretty. This particular one comes potted and had three review on Amazon with 5 stars, which is why I thought it was the better choice to offer to you. There are seeds available on Amazon too, but they showed 2-3 stars on their reviews.

Not sure about all of you, but when shopping online I like to rely heavily on other peoples reviews because they can show you one really good photo, but if you really can't look, feel and smell the flowers...well it is just hard to choose in a 2D world. The reviews of others add a sort of third dimension to the online shopping world, don't they?

Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by.

I hope you enjoyed looking at this beauties. Please share your thought, or ideas for flowers or gardening. What your favorite flower is or whatever you would like to share.

I enjoy reading your comments and appreciate your patronage.

Have a wonderful growing season!

Linda

A word about my affiliate, Direct Gardening. They were hand picked by me. Totally great lens! I love flowers & your pictures are awesome. I live in WA, right next door. I grew up in Colorado & always thought fuchsias were fairy tale flowers. I was astounded when I moved here & saw them for real!

I love the flowers and the way you have everything displayed on this lens. Not to mention, pink is my favorite color. Thanks for sharing this beautiful lens...not sure why it hasn't gotten a purple star award. Job well done!

This really makes me want to get back into gardening. I will when I get a place that is big enough to plant outdoors. I already have too many containers with plants lol.

I love Prayer Plants. We've always had them growing up. I think they're also called prayer plants because on "average" there are 10 dots on them, representing the 10 commandments. Thanks for sharing x
