Water Feature Ideas for the Garden
Making Your Garden A Special Place
Nothing makes a garden more special and inviting than adding a water feature. These fascinating pieces make it easy to spend time in the garden since they add some visual artistry and soothing sounds.
There are many different types of water features. There are the traditional bird baths to arrangements made of stone or resin. I like the cascading water features as they have a wonderful sound and can be added anywhere in the garden.
If you have a small garden or only a patio or deck, you can still have a water feature as they come in all different sizes. There are even water features that are solar powered so you can place them anywhere you want in your garden.
Water features have been part of garden for centuries. Just take a look at the Gardens of Versailles in France which has many, many water features. This beautiful garden was started in the 1660's by King Louis the 14th. With over 800 acres this garden is the setting for many water features including the Grand Canal which is almost one mile long.
Now you don't have to have such an extravagant garden in order to have a water feature. You can keep it simple with a small water fountain or even a bird bath.
If you don't want to have a water feature then there are plenty of art pieces or statues that you can add to your garden instead. Whatever garden feature you choose will make your yard the perfect place to hang out and enjoy anytime of the year.Image Courtesy of Amazon
