Clicker Garage Door Openers

What is a Clicker garage door opener?

Clicker is a brand of what is considered to be a universal garage door opener that will open or close your garage door with the click of a button.

Often times people get confused and think that a Clicker garage door opener is referring to the fact that their garage door opener has a button or two that they just click to open or close their garage door.

However the fact is that Clicker is actually a brand name of garage door opener remotes, made by Chamberlain, that can be used universally with most of the best garage door brands on the market today.

A Clicker garage door opener is compatible with most Genie, Linear/Moore-o-Matic, Stanley, Wayne-Dalton, Craftsman, Chamberlain and LiftMaster garage door systems. This is why it is considered to be a universal garage door opener, because it works with almost every brand.

Of course they will work with many other brands of garage door opener systems but these are some of the most commonly used systems. Additionally they can be used to open many gate opener systems too. This is why they are considered to be the best.

If you have lost or damaged your garage door opener remote or your gate opener remote then you can easily replace it with a Chamberlain Clicker garage door opener. Of course every brand will have their own clicker available for you to purchase in case you are in need of a garage door remote replacement.

For example, if you have a Genie garage door opener you should be able to find a Genie garage door remote to replace the one you have lost or damaged. However, often times it may be that the garage door opener system that you have is out of date and they no longer make garage door opener remotes for it. This is where a universal clicker such a Clicker garage door opener comes in very handy.

One thing to keep in mind is that when you purchase a new Clicker door opener you may have to program the garage door clicker to work with your garage door opener system. However this is something that can easily be done yourself and the Clicker that you purchase should come with all the programming codes you will need to match the remote up with your door opener.

In addition to garage door remotes, Clicker also makes keyless entry pads that can be installed next to your garage door. These can be very handy, especially if you happen to lose your garage door remote or if there is no one at home who has the garage door remote.

In My Opinion

I had lost my garage door remote and needed a new on and I wanted to have a second one for my girlfriend. I picked up two of the KLIK2U remotes, it was very easy to set the codes to work with my Genie garage door opener and both units work very well. My only complaint would be that you o have to be within about 15 feet of the door for them to work. My original remote would work from about 25 feet. This isn't really a problem as I don't typically don't have the need to be farther away anyway but some people do want that extra range.

Additionally I went ahead and grabbed the keypad unit as well. I really love having this for those times when I am out doing yard work, it makes it very easy to get into the garage with out having to run inside to open the door.

I have been very satisfied with both the Chamberlain clicker remotes as well as the keypad. If you need a new garage remote then I would highly recommend one of the Clicker models.
