Beauty For Ashes

Passage : Isaiah Ch. 61 :3

"To all who mourn in Israel, he will give beauty

for ashes, joy instead of mourning, praise

instead of despair. For the Lord has planted

them like strong and gracefulo aks for his own

glory."

No matter how ugly our past life had become,

the Lord could always turn it to beauty. Whate-

ver the devil meant for evil against us, the

Lord will always turn it out for good.

In our momentary earthly sojourn, not all the

circumstances that happened to us were always

favorable.There were certain occurrences in our

lives that indeed have shattered us, crushed

our dreams, frustrated our plans even paralyzed

our hopes. But no matter how tragic our lives

have become, the moment the Lord took over,

everything else will be turned into beauty. The

unfolding of God's plan is awesome. Those dis-

heartening circumstances that broke us trans-

formed us into men and women of character.We have

to be broken, to be crushed, to be humbled in

order for us to become beautiful vessels unto

God's honor.

So despite our broken hearts and shattered

dreams, the future remains very promising to us,

only because of what GOD has done.
