Easy Holiday Dish to Whip up in Minutes
I would have to say roasting something. If you like you can roast a whole chicken. Just marinate it over night. I have kids so usually they want something that is a little sweet. So what I do is in a big bowl (where the chicken can fit) I would put about 1/3 cup of lemon juice, 1 cup of soy sauce, 1/2 cup of water and 2 table spoons of brown sugar. roll the chicken in it. Leave it in there over night.
The next day you just pop it in the oven around 350 degrees and cook it for about an hour (depending on how big, if it is like more than 3 lbs a little longer). If you want to check if the chicken is ready just poke a toothpick in a deep part of the chicken then place the tooth pick on your chin (just below your lower lip) if it feels pretty hot then your chicken is ready. As a side dish you put cut vegetables like carrots, zucchini, broccoli and put it on the side of the chicken like 15 minutes before you take it out of the oven.
