Free Advertising for WAHMs?

Updated on September 21, 2008

Write your way to freedom

I have tried several different types of online advertising from traffic exchanges, link exchanges to social networking sites. But by far, the most affective advertising I have found yet has been in article marketing. There are numbers of sites that publish your articles free of charge and they even get them indexed through the search engines.

Hub pages is an excellent example of how it works with article marketing. The difference is that in HP you don't have a biography box at the end and in your articles listed in the article sites you do. At HP, I just post my links in my profile and leave them out of the articles.

The number of links you are allowed to have per article bio in the article sites varies from site to site but if you read their publishing guidelines, there should be no problem. You don't have to write articles on your business necessarily. You can write the articles about anything your heart desires as long as it is original content and follows the publisher's guidelines.

Squidoo is also a good site, although I have been having a bit of trouble with their control panel lately. Many people in my MLM company use it and it is working wonders for them Hopefully I will get things figured out soon so that I can reap the same rewards.

These are just a few of the sites you can use for advertising your business but if you would like a list of article publishing sites you may contact me through HP and I will be glad to email you the long list that I have so that you can check them out for yourself. My #1 favorite of the actual article sites is Ezine Articles. I have a list of articles published with them and their guidelines are easy to understand and adhere to.

Thanks for the info...I am easily frustrated by both advertising costs and the time and effort it takes to find "free" advertising opportunities. I hope all the hard work will pay off...

Thanks for stoppin by and commenting. And I will be glad to share the links. Just let me know when! I absolutely agree. The articles I create here are a totally different world from in the article sites. Those site are where I really hit the business side of life! Those same articles here, though they have been widely requested, would be considered spam due to the business link in the bio box. It's not an affiliate link but it to my personal business which creates personal profit so round and round we go lol.

Good info here Bonnie. I'm short on time momentarily but I email you soon for that list. Thanks for sharing. I've yet to have success with Squidoo but admittedly I haven't been nearly as active there as I find myself to be here. This just seems like a warmer community (but truly less lucrative). Perhaps too it depends you your subject matter as I find that different writing venues draw different crowds, would you agree?

No problem! And don't forget I have a lot of sites to submit to if you'd like them. I am not an affiliate of any of them, just an author. I share the links with anyone who wants them.
