Updated on November 15, 2006

Toxin Free Lifestyle

Our bodies are continuously exposed to a large number of toxins through food we eat and the environment we live in. Our bodies are well equipped to handle many of these toxins. However, depending on the type and the level of exposure, we tend to accumulate these toxins in our bodies which have harmful effects on our health. In most cases the symptoms of these toxins on our bodies go undetected or misdiagnosed. Often, the blame is placed on illnesses totally unrelated and to solve those illnesses we put more toxic chemicals (medicines) in our bodies.

Many of one's poor health symptoms such as allergies, headaches, sinus problems, fatigue, chronic pains, high blood pressure, digestive problems may well be due to having excess amounts of toxins in our systems.

The most important thing to do is to eliminate the intake of various toxins. This can be accomplished by reducing or eliminating the intake of many potent toxins such as heavy metals, cigarette smoke, synthetic food agents, refined sugar, herbicides, pesticides, non-organic foods, etc.

Unfortunately, most likely, we all have an accumulation of these toxins in our bodies and a regular purging of these chemicals is essential in allowing our bodies to remain healthy. Here are a few simple steps for a toxin free lifestyle:

o Eat whole foods, fresh organic fruits, fresh organic vegetables, whole organic grains.

o Avoid excessive consumption of animal based proteins.

o Drink pure water or herbal teas( 1/2 - 3/4 gallon daily).

o Maintain a regular bowel movement (At least once daily).

o Exercise regularly.

o Avoid environmental toxins such as second hand smoke, fumes from cars and other air pollutions.

o Reduce intake of acidic foods.

o Don't diet!
