Face and Eye Makeup Review: Estee Lauder

Updated on July 22, 2012

I am a makeup fanatic! I like to try new things, but I mostly just use what I have unless I see something that really catches my attention and I have one of those "must-have" moments. Being a girl that is into more of the bright colors and edgier looks - I normally go for brands such as MAC, NYX, Max Factor, etc. Recently, I was flipping through a copy of Lucky [a magazine that I love and any girl that loves fashion/makeup and everything about it MUST pick this mag up and see for yourself just how great it is!] and found a voucher for a free mascara that I can obtain by going to any Estee Lauder counter.

I decided to go to one at a new Dillards that just opened up near us. The lady that helped me was especially nice and when she asked if she could give me a "makeover", I complied. I was literally wowed by the makeup and not only did I get my free mascara, but I ended up getting the foundation and eye makeup remover, too! Definitely not in my budget, but it was one of those "must-have" moments lol. The lady was also nice enough to give me a free sample of the foundation in a tiny bottle, so I haven't even had to touch my purchased bottle of foundation, yet!

Onto the reviews!

Estee Lauder Sumptuous Bold Volume Lifting Mascara [$ unknown]

Obviously, being free and all, it's just a little trial size, but it's great! It's not too clumpy and goes on great - stays on all day. I always get my mascara/eyeliner in black and this one is a definite change from my others. The other ones I have are barely noticeable when I put them on, but this one really stands out.

Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation $33.50

This foundation is amazing! Goes on smooth, doesn't even feel like you have anything on your face, at all! It's humidity proof, so when you're melting - your makeup stays on. SPF 10. The color I have is shell. I am very fair skinned and this color matches perfectly and you can't even tell I have it on. :)

Estee Lauder Gentle Eye Makeup Remover $15.50

BEST investment I have ever made when it comes to makeup remover products! I usually use those cleansing wipes, but nope, this stuff is beyond awesome! Takes my caked on eyeliner [oh c'mon, I like raccoon eyes once in awhile :X] right off without any trouble! This bottle is going to last me for ages!

Loved the make-up review! A good mascara and eye make-up remover are hard to come by. Just when I think I've removed it all, I wake up in the morning with smeared mascara ;)

Thanks for the makeup tips! I do not wear it everyday, but when I am in the mood or going somewhere special makeup helps me feel ready.

" Your right!" The best way to try new make up products is to try and get free trial sizes or receive free samples by having some type of coupons or even by mail!"

"Estee Lauder counter is a nice place to get some free goodies for our young faces!"
