All couples, honeymooners and otherwise, are sure to find what they're looking for in Mexico

What does romance mean to you? Pristine seclusion? Sunny strolls in a lazy marketplace? Or perhaps your kind of romance is sitting on a sail boat next to your partner? Whatever kind of romance you want, Mexico is sure to offer you the perfect getaway.

Perhaps you are this type of traveler: You want to see only your beloved, and no one else for the entire weekend. You envision sand and surf, with little or no disturbances. You'd like the cover of lush flora and shady trees to shield you from prying eyes, but you also want to revel in the ocean? If this sounds like you, there are many hideaways for you in Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, Mexico.

For example, if you stay at the Majahuitas Resort, outside of the Puerto Vallarta, you know you're in for some seclusion as soon as you arrive on the mainland. This is because you're immediately whisked out of the crowded tourist city, onto a boat, and a little ways down the coastline. When you spot pleasant little bugalows peeping from the green carpeted hillside, you know you've arrived!

Once you dock at the resort, you are assigned your secluded bungalow situated on the mountainside, most with ocean views, and left in privacy. Of course, once you've had your fill of privacy, you can visit the beach or partake in excursions to Puerto Vallarta.

Of course, if you and your partner tend to bond through activity and exploration, you may want to head inland. The gorgeous, untamed state of Michoacan offers panoramas of green carpeted mountains, extinct volcanoes open for hiking, and secluded little tourist towns. This beautiful state houses both the famous lake of Pátzcuaro and the town where Day of the Dead began. Quaint, colonial hotels abound, and you're sure to find an open courtyard or two to focus on your partner after the day/s adventures. One lujoso (luxurious) choice sure to bring a smile to your face is the Hotel San Jose Villa, which offers rustic appointments and an accomodating, friendly staff.

Of course, if you'd like to heat things up by dancing and drinking (with your partner!) theres only one choice for you down south: Cancun. Filled with the best clubs, loudest music and strongest drinks, you and your BFF are sure to get your party on til dawn! First, try Dady-O and Christine's for some bachata and rhythms. Head to Cortijo Flamingo for some authentic sounds, and then get a bite to eat at Planet Hollywood Cancun.

Whether your thinking of popping the question, honeymooning, or just a couple of old romatics trying to rekindle the flame, Mexico is your best bet to generate some sparks.
