Using Stumbleupon

Using Stumbleupon For Traffic

Stumbleupon is a quick, easy, and effective way to promote and gain traffic to your website or blog. However, it is important that you follow some simple guidelines to help you get the most out of your SU experience.

To start Stumbling, the first thing you should do is go http://www.stumbleupon.com and register and download their toolbar.

After installing the toolbar, you will see a thumbs up, thumbs down button that basically says whether or not you liked or disliked the site that you are Stumbling. There is also a button to add keywords, and a comment.

When you Stumble your site or blog using a button that your provide, you can either use the thumbs up button, or the SU button that you installed at the end of the post on the blog or elsewhere on the site. After hitting the button, leave a good one or two sentence comment and keywords.

I have had loads of traffic to my websites and blogs from SU. The main pitfall that you should avoid is not stumbling the same site too many times. If you have a blog, and find yourself Stumbling every post that you make, you will be blocked from stumbling that site in the future. The trick is to stumble lots of sites that you like and throw in your own websites from time to time too.

It is also good etiquette to stumble other websites or blogs that you like and come across along the way. If you do this enough times odds are good that other webmasters and bloggers will soon be stumbling your sites as well.
