Why Four Gospels pt IV

Why the Four Gospels, Part IV

John is the fourth gospel. This is the most evangelical gospel of the four but is not one of the synoptic gospels. His audience is the world. He starts right out writing about who Christ is in chapter one, verse one: "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning." (New International Version) John then writes concerning the purpose of Christ earthly ministry in John 3:16 when Christ tells Nicodemus, "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life." (New American Standard Bible)

The four parts of Why the Four Gospels is just a quick look into the writers, (not authors,) of the gospel, and the audience and purpose of each one.
