Why vegetarian food are better than non vegetarian?

Updated on October 15, 2008

Less meat, more veg; healthier disease free you

There have been many studies done by note able researchers about the effects of diet on health. One of my favorite books on the topic you can order from and I included a link in this reply. I do not want to go into too much detail, but suffice it to say that the main difference is that it is far more costly for our bodies to digest animal proteins into useable materials; whereas plant proteins are far easier for our biology to deal with. Studies have shown that rural diets consisting of more grains and greens and little meat have populations that suffer from mostly parasitic illnesses. Where diets high in meat protein are have populations that suffer from cancer, strokes, heart attacks, and other so-called disease of affluence. I encourage you to read a few books on the subject. Particularly the China Study which was done in rural parts of China as well as cities for comparison data. It also has experiments done on mice in controlled environments. It is en eye-opener for sure. Good luck, and feel free to contact me for more info.
