Ah, well, in the beginning it was the simple dilemma of plot. See, when I was in sixth grade, "The Fellowship of the Ring" came out in theatres and, before that, I had never even heard of the saga. After watching an epic adventure movie as that, I was inspired to create my own novel. I studied the entire "Lord of the Rings" series, yet I have managed to draw very little inspiration from that particular trilogy in more recent developements. The current outline and first few chapters of the script suggest more of a blend of CS Lewis' "Chronicles of Narnia," Gaston Leroux's "The Phantom of the Opera," and a couple of others. My current troubles are just getting my ideas onto paper fluidly and making transitions into events that are not difficult to understand, if that makes sense. I don't want to confuse my reader, haha.
