Truthfully? I sell things on eBay, but they are only things that I don't want to take with me because I am moving soon. And the money is so-so at best. It's a meager supplement, but better than dumping shit in a Goodwill bin.
I don't have any good answers for you, kiddo. It seem you need to be obnoxious enough to be noticed and turn into a one of those irritating people who comment on celebs at the moment for maximum income. Curiously, nobody is interested in paying people to write about real issues (or real people), just silly shit. Sad, but true.
The day will come in 5-10 years (I think) when all magazines and newspapers (possibly even music, books, comic books and TV shows) are all online. Then you will have a shot at making a living online if you are an artist. You are just ahead of the curve with your thinking. Bowie was too ten years ago. We shouldn't have laughed at him when he said we'd be downloading music and cover art. At least Steve Jobs made some money off the idea :(
I say find some forum to broadcast your talent(s) on line and it will come to you if you got "it". Believe that you have a legit skill and just find some way to showcase it!
