Mortuary Science is the study of dead bodies. The careers in mortuary science are a funeral director, mortician, or an embalmer.
You can study it anywhere, you can start off researching it at your home before you go to college. You can also job shadow or help work at a funeral home to get an idea of what the career is like.
There are many colleges that hold mortuary science programs such as Cypress College, CA (the one I'm thinking about going to), Cincinatti (OH), or Mesa (AZ). Here are a list of colleges that also have mortuary science programs: http://www.uscollegesearch.org/mortuary-colleges.h...
College degrees in mortuary science can be accomplished in 2-4 years, or just 2. The classes that are taken to accomplish this degree is anatomy, physiology, pathology, embalming techniques, restorative art, business management and more. Some states require funeral directors to be embalmers as well.
