5 Ways To Make Money Underage

Being underage sucks. We get it, but some jobs do hire people under the age of 18. You just need to take the time out of your young life to look. In the meantime, there are some ways to make money. I suggest saving up while you are young, so you can move out sooner. Don't you want to save up and buy a car or a house? You don't want to spend the rest of your life living under your parent's roof. It's time for you to grow up and learn some responsibilities to be able to make it in life. Here's a few ideas of what you can do to save up and move out.

1. Cleaning Up Dog Poop

Yes, cleaning up dog poop can be gross and nasty. Some people will pay big money for you to clean up after their dogs. I had a neighbor who paid $40 each time to clean up after their two huge dogs. It was gross, but I did save up enough to buy my own school clothes. Unlike your parents, I had to pay for mine. Put up some signs around the neighbor hood or post on your Facebook. I bet that you will have some rich people that will get back to you and could possibly pay you up to $100 depending on the size of their yard. Some people don't like to get their hands dirty and pick up after their own animals. So they decide to seek for people to do it for them.

2. Shoveling A Roof

This is a winter job, but some people seek for others to clean off their roof or it may cave in. This is also a need not a want, so people will pay good money for you to shovel off their roof. If you do a good job, they might want you to come back. I know people that will pay up to $150 each time for their roof to be shoveled off. It can be a dangerous job depending on the angle of the roof. Be careful and don't get hurt. Bring someone with you to help you in case something happens.

3. Raking Leaves

It is a pain in the butt to do this job, but people with huge yards will pay up to $200 to get the job done. All you have to do is rake the yard and move the leaves into garbage bags. It is simple, but if you don't like bugs, it could be gross. You could find a spider or two.

4. Making Jewelry

If you are a crafty person and like to make things, why not learn to make cool bracelets or necklaces and sell them? I made necklaces in high school and sold them for $20 each. They became really popular and I made a lot of money. You can also choose what price to sell them for.

5. Babysitting

If you enjoy kids, why not watch them. The bad news is that you have to gain trust in order to watch someone's kids. Do you have a friend that has brothers or sisters? Some parents like a night by themselves to enjoy once in awhile and can pay some good money. I watched my nieces and nephews a few times and got paid $40 and it was only for four hours. Give it a try!

I hope some of these ideas will help you save up and move out of your parent's house. I know it's hard to make money underage and us adults do understand you. Give some of these ideas a try and if you don't like it, then don't do it. But remember, you need to save up money if you want to buy that car that you want.

Do you want to move out of your parent's house?
