6 Sites to Find Data Entry Work

Updated on March 19, 2016

Earning money online is a craze today. Many people search on internet different ideas on earning money online. Data entry attracts those who are new to earning money online and those who do not have special skills.

Data entry typically involves tasks like copy pasting, data entry in word or excel etc. It is not very difficult task to do. You only need a computer and good internet connection. You can get projects from different sites and can complete it combining with your friends.

Data entry comes under the category of Virtual Assistant. So, select category as virtual assistant. First brows on different sites and check other peoples gigs and see what they offer and at what price.

You can do such jobs online. I think this is the best way to start earning money online, because you don’t need to have any special skills to do this type of work. For data entry jobs you can join following sites: Do not forget to read terms and conditions page of any site before applying.

1. Fiverr: This is the best one I prefer. You can create gig on fiverr for $5. Fiverr hosts only tasks with the value of $5. Create your gig as I will do 2 hours data entry for $5. But remember fiverr keeps $1 for fee and pays you $4.

2. Elance: You can do such jobs on freelancing site like Elance. Where you will find lots of work. You have to bid for the job. Initially keep you bid low. Once you do some jobs and get good rating then increase your rate.

Once you are established on Elance and get good ratings, then this is the best platform to earn money.

3. Guru: Guru is also a good place to find such type of work. There every freelancer is called guru. This site is similar to Fiverr, where employers find freelancers and communicate and negotiate with them provide job and leave feedback and pay. Read terms and conditions carefully before applying.

4. SEOClerks: It is also a good place to find such job. Here you have flexibility to charge anything as per value of your service. If an employer gets interested in your gig he would communicate with you and negotiate price of your work.

5. Upwork: On upwork you can create your profile and set your own price. Remember initially keep your rates low and work hard then once you get positive feedbacks from the employers and then increase your rate.

6.GigBucks: On GigBucks there are gigs ranging from $5 to $50. For data entry select Business category. You can create many other gigs on this site from $5 to $50.

This is the list of sites that I know very well. Now it depends on you where to register and find work. For more opportunities create gigs on two to three sites. And among all these sites I prefer Elance. That is the best place to get work.

If you have some other skills, then also offer different services like writing, proof reading, logo designing, etc.
