Are You Confident That You Will Be Rich?
On New Year’s Eve, our family went to a church meeting. While we were there, my sons attended the Youth Service. During the meeting something unusual happened that I want to share with you.
New Year’s Eve is considered one of the most hyped nights of the entire year. Many words of encouragement and inspiration are spoken to the congregants. The people are filled with hope and expectation for a better more prosperous year.
Since my sons were in a meeting with the youth, I was unaware of the words that were spoken concerning my son(s) until after service had let out. While in the corridor, a lady approached me, and pointed out my eldest son and asked me various questions about his goals. She further declared that he would be one of the three young men in the youth meeting that would be rich.

I did not share these words with either of my sons; I mentioned it to my husband. Each of my sons has a different approach to money – one is a Spender and one is a Saver. The eldest is the Spender and the youngest one is the Saver.
Five days later, my youngest son approached me and shared with me the goings on in the youth service that night. He told me that the lady, Youth Worker, instructed three young men in the room to stand up who felt a call on their life to be rich. My youngest wanted to stand, but could not bring himself to it. So I asked him did he feel it was he, and he told me without hesitation these words, “I feel confident that I will be rich”.
He certainly exhibits the signs of being a rich person. In fact, one day he told me, “I’m not going to waste my money”. Out of the mouth of babes……….. I am impressed with this young man. He always has cash on hand. He deposits his money in the bank. And he saves for the things he needs, and invests in himself.
As for the other son, he loves quality things; I am sure he will get a quality career to support his lifestyle. Perhaps these young men are two of the three she spoke of, because no one stood up that night.
Confidence in becoming rich comes through living a lifestyle that supports our beliefs and taking action to get there.
