College Textbooks are a PAIN

As any college student or parent of a college student will tell you buying all of those books are a pain in the... Well now saving money and shopping around isnt much of a problem. This is the grandmaster list of 50 of the best Cheap College Textbook Websites!!! Finding all the books you need at a large discount compared to your college bookstore makes sense to any low income or needy students who dont have the resources or ability to afford both college fees and book fees. With so many options on textbooks nowadays its hard to decide what to get and how to get it all for the right price - but it can be done. The main reason why I cant or anyone else cant really make a nice system of finding the cheapest books is because every teach users different textbooks and to tailor to thousands of titles is impossible! I can help though by presenting this list of top sites for cheap textbooks of all kinds. Some are new, some used, hey some are even held together with duck tape (but hopefully we will surpass that level.)

***Note less then 50 may be shown due to sites changing, not working, or improper reading. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Hopefully this long list of 50 textbook sites helps make it easier and less stressful to get ready for the upcoming semester in College! Also some of these sites like Amazon and Half.com sell High School Textbooks for very cheap sale prices to ensure you will always have a copy! Textbook prices aren't declining and tend to go up every single year as demand increases and as more and more are required for the same classes - hopefully many of these sites and options offer much better savings and more affordable textbooks!

Math Textbook hopefully cheaper used then new!

Great list! You left off www.rentscouter.com, one of the oldest price comparison websites. Excellent post.

Another cools site is http://www.freetextbooklist.com it lists books that can be read online (some off) for free. They don't even require registration. Most are written by professors and SME's; not textbook companies.

My books were much cheaper on Amazon.com that campus bookstore.

I really lucked out they didn't have a book in stock said if I didn't want to wait go to Amazon.com and gave me ISBN numbers for all my books.

      What a hookup!!

      Pays to do alittle investigation.

      Great hub!

Looking forward to using your list next semester.

Wow! I thought it was pretty much half.com or Amazon! Had no idea you could rent them, either. Thanks for the info.

That's a heck of a list! 12web is right, online is the way to go. I've been using Amazon lately, and got some great deals. I don't think I have the patience to sift through too many sites to find the best of the best deal, though I probably should lol.

Fantastic list. Always found I got the best bang for my buck when buying online. NEVER purchase in the book store. (I think we all know this by now)
