Consignment Shopping “Secret” Now Out!

Updated on January 10, 2012

Consignment Shopping “Secret” Now Out!

The down turn in the world economy has forced a large portion of U.S. consumers to evaluate and reevaluate their shopping habits. Getting the most out of each and every dollar spent is greatly emphasized with the help of bargain retailers- a private sector that supplies high quality merchandise for a fraction of the cost. Large ticket items are still sought after by consumers, but not at the expense of going bankrupt. Fashionable clothing, promoted extensively by the media, is one sector of the retail industry generally deemed as costly or not within the range of the general consumers. Not any more, with the market trend strongly swaying in consignment stores direction!

Who loves consignment store shopping?

Well, it appears that a lot of people have caught on to buying and selling gently used items. Consignment store shopping, generally clothing and accessories, along with “bric-a-brac” is no longer associated with “acquiring your older sibling’s or other’s hand-me-downs” as usually thought of! Consumers with financial means as well as those who are less fortunate, now share the same opportunity to purchase at much discounted pricing the items that were once affordable to those with means. Many general consignment store offers are in next to new condition, some are very impossible to spot any kind of imperfections, and that in itself, coupled with the “bargain basement” pricing, is helping to drive today’s consumer to this sector of the retail industry like never before.

Consignment store shoppers are increasing in numbers rapidly; many of them have turned it into a serious form of getting trendy items. Searching to find the best place in town that offers the best bargains, best clothing and item selection has created a buzz that even mediums like the internet, television and radio cannot ignore. Maximizing these resources takes some ingenuity, little resources and living life to the fullest, despite whatever economic situation these consumers face daily.

Secretly New Resale Boutique is one consignment shop that has recently entered the market that we would like to highlight. This small scale online consignment shop operates out of Lawrenceville, Georgia. They offer men’s and women’s clothes, shoes, handbags and accessories. Affording quality sought-after styles and designer items for a fraction of the price is what consumers are looking for, and that is where Secretly New Resale Boutique makes an impact.

While the "secret" is out, I suspect most of the new shoppers will return to their bad habits once the economy picks up and return to the retail and high priced stores. I am a diehard thrifter and have been for several years. It breaks my heart if I have to buy something in a hurry and must shop retail instead of resale.
