  • Frugal Living Do you know Coupon Suzy?

Updated on May 26, 2011

Have you met CouponSuzy?

All sentient shoppers crave a bargain. Before we paid cash, we bartered for staples and negotiated with ardent fervor. Coupons came along much later as an enticement to coax deal-seekers into retail stores.

Do you drive past one grocery store to reach a competitor promising to double your coupons? Everyone wants to think they saved a buck or two on canned goods and personal care items. Free cents-off bar codes from Coupon Suzy make discount shopping very easy,

Go online for amazing deals and buying opportunities. Happy Homemaker Coupon Suzy publishes innumerable coupons and special offers from name-brand manufacturers. Instead of paying full-price for Listerine, Scott Tissue, or Tropicana Orange Juice, download several free discount documents and present them to the cashier. Just stand back when the cashier's computer locks up rather than computing your mega-discounts in real-time. Keep your smile under control as those in line behind you silently steam with embarrassment, knowing they will settle their bill with paper money rather than pocket change.

Look to Coupon Suzy for huge bargains and discounts on the stuff you buy every day. Make time to organize your shopping trips beforehand: hardcore extreme coupon veterans always compose an extensive plan rather than wandering through acres of grocery aisles. Not everyone is amenable to this lifestyle, although the potential savings cannot be ignored.

Online savings sites come and go like mushrooms under an Appalachian porch, but this site has severe staying power. Paper coupons add up to big money left over and a train of shopping carts parading out to the minivan. Quietly becoming a shopping tsunami, CouponSuzy won't let you down when it's time to restock the family larders.

Remember the days of paying face value for food, household items, and cosmetics? Suzy says "follow me to couponing freedom!" Tuck her digital discounts into your organizer and trod the supermarket aisles with quiet confidence. Under your cool demeanor hides the heart of a shopping lion, and we're not talking about Food Lion. Victory over high prices is just a few clicks away. Whenever you need her, CouponSuzy stands ready to show you the way. Xanthippes need not apply: ill-tempered women will not survive in this world of happiness and deep discounts. Yes, there's something for everyone at Suzy's site, as long as you approach your savings goals with grace and aplomb. Zebras, although not known for their shopping acumen, bear a striking resemblance to the bar codes that appear on all modern coupons, whether downloaded from Suzy or clipped from the Sunday Color Supplement.

What's Suzy Offering?

On the first day we visited Suzy, she offered over 80 different deals on popular items. She conveniently segregated her downloads into 13 different categories including:

The numbers in parentheses clearly enumerate how many deals fall into that category. As if that wasn't enough, she thoughtfully provided a special category enumerating offers scheduled to expire within the next 7 days. Be careful: don't find yourself purchasing unneeded items simply because the price is right.

Look to this site for great deals on popular items. Stock up on coupons before stocking up on consumables. We all need a deal.

I love getting bargains with coupons or specials. It always seems a shame to pay full price for anything when you only have to wait for a special to come along.

@JayeWisdom: That tech is clueless, with all due respect, of course.

The computer tech who "un-does" the bad things that happen to my desktop computer (usually caused by my downloading something I shouldn't) thoroughly scolded me the last time I downloaded from one of those coupon sites the software "required" in order to print the coupons. It was right after that my computer went "haywire" and I needed his services again. He got my computer working properly, then said, "DON'T DO IT!!!" (referring to the downloading from coupon sites). So I promised that I won't...and I don't. It isn't saving money if it crashes the computer! JAYE

Well, it seems coupons have proliferated online - and why wouldn't they considering the convenience - convenience is driving the world (amongst other things!)

Xanthippes, nicomp? The poor woman would roll over in her grave if she knew her name had become synonymous with an ill-tempered, shrewish woman.

Then again, she might appreciate the (?) fame.
