Learning to crochet can assist with breaking bad habits in your life, crocheting can be the good habit replacing a bad habit. Crocheting different items is fun when you keep the enthusiasm, and having patience will be a part of crocheting as well. When you begin to learn about crocheting, search for YouTube videos about beginner's crocheting. Once you do that, keep watching some of the crocheting video over and over again, until you are making progress. Crochet along with the video; and sometimes you can make up your own stitch patterns after you learn the beginner's basics.

Wearing crochet clothing and accessories will always be in style. Some celebrities are wearing crochet items like; hats, dresses, hand bags, belts, earrings, etc. Wearing crochet items will never go out of style. Some people that crochet are selling their items on Etsy, but some of them are saying in forums that "it cost more to keep the website going, and are making less to sell their crochet projects." This is why it's better to sell your crochet projects on a free website such as: Webs.com, Yolasite.com, or Wix.com. Selling your completed crochet projects at your home garage sales, eBay, Craigslist, and to a Swap-meet sales clerk will be a good idea as well.

Also making a blog post about your crochet items that you've made would help too. First, you would need to buy a couple of spools of yarn, at a craft's store such as Michael's, Joanne's, or Walmart, Thrift stores, Garage sales, Big Lots, etc. And you will need yarn needles, they come in different sizes, it's a good idea to have at least 3 yarn needles. The sizes of the yarn needles are: H-8, I-9, J-10, K-10 1/2, N-9, etc. One of the best yarns to buy is the 'Red Heart' brand its cost effective and it comes in many colors. The most common yarn needle to use is the J-10 size needle for your crochet projects.

To crochet for money you would have to find out which item you would want to crochet the most. Once you find out your niche item for crocheting to make money, continue to crochet that item in different colors, and make a lot of them. Then you would need to do research and find out what other people are selling that same crochet item for, and then you will have an idea of the price you will set for your crochet items.

Crocheting would have to be one of your main hobbies before you consider it as a revenue activity. There are so many items you can crochet as a hobby, and then later turn it into a money making business. For marketing purposes, you may want to make some: business cards, flyers, a website, a blog, and also word-of-mouth marketing will help. Once you have a website for your crochet business, you may want to learn search engine optimization SEO, to make sure your website get more views.

If you are a beginner Crocheter, your first items that you crochet might just be items you can give away to family members, until you are making quality work. When selling crochet items online you will definitely need to sell quality work, because you want your customers to buy from you again. And you also want your customers to refer your crochet work to other people.

Crocheting is easy for children and adults, getting over the beginners stage is the only difficult part. But keep learning new crochet patterns and new crochet projects. Eventually you will start to notice that you are no longer a beginner, when you have crocheted about 20 or more projects.

      Hi Judy, I never heard of cafe style curtains, but I'm think that will be a good niche for you since it's rare. I would like to see crocheted cafe style curtains.
