Another option would be to paste numerous cards attached to a whole board, line them up against a wall or place them on top of a coffee table.
Throw pillows enhances the look of your sofa and ultimately your living room. Depending on what your Christmas theme is for this year, choose colors that complement your other decorations. You can opt for plain and elegant silk throw pillows or those with Christmas design. One alternative is to buy cloth and sew your own throw pillow cover. That way when Christmas is over, you can just keep the throw pillow cover and re-use it for the following year.
You can fill transparent jars, vases, empty containers with Christmas ornaments like Christmas balls. Choose your colors from multi-colored (above photo) or one tone (e.g. gold colored balls) or two tones (like the green and red balls --right side photo)
Wooden baskets can be covered with cloth (photo above) and viola, you now have Christmas baskets. Other option is putting ribbons and ornaments to decorate them. The photo on the right side has been creatively colored and placed with a smiling Santa for accent. These baskets can then be filled with goodies or books and magazines.
Buy rolls of ribbons and you can use it in a lot of ways. Your Christmas tree can be decorated with ribbons. You can wrap huge boxes and wrap it with ribbons and it can be used as Christmas decors in your living room. Small boxes can be placed under the tree as Christmas gifts. Ribbons can be used to put on Christmas baskets or wreaths. There are many ways you can use ribbons and create Christmas decorations.
You can decorate your own Christmas or holiday wreath. If you can go outside and cut any type of greenery then do it. Make it into a circle and tie a string. Hang it simple and fresh and just add a few ribbons or ornaments. If you have plastic wreaths, you can also use them. Another alternative would be to lay them flat on the table and put a candle in the center. Some also choose to spray the wreaths with a different color. Ribbons, ornaments or Christmas balls can be used to decorate it with.
