Easy Ways To Pay Off Your Student Loan
How I paid off my student loan
I don't know why I didn't have someone in my corner to explain to me how student loan debt really works. If I would have known then what I know now I would have made sure to only sign up for classes that I knew would be beneficial to my career. I would have not had a loan to pay for my yoga class or physical fitness class. Taking and paying for college courses with your student loan is a serious matter and some may have to pay for these loans for a lifetime. Hopefully what I found to help pay off my loans can help you.
AmeriCorps- AmeriCorps is an organization that provides nonprofit agencies with skilled (you have a degree) employees. The organization pays your salary(which is low) while you work for this non-profit and after you have worked for them for a year you are given an educational stipend that you can use toward your current student loan or future educational expenses. I worked for AmeriCorps for three years in various non-profits and received 10,000 dollars toward my student loan.
Teach- If you are a teacher and work in a low income area you may be eligible for student loan forgiveness. Check with your local schools for more info on the loan forgiveness program.
Gradible- Gradible is a fairly new website determined to help former students wipe out their student loan debt. You can sign up and do surveys, data entry and earn points for shopping at certain websites like Amazon. Once you reach 100 points you can redeem them and Gradible will send your lender a check.
Take Side Jobs- I made over 5000 dollars mystery shopping with one company. I worked for several companies and was able to apply my earnings to my student loan. This work was done only when I had free time and was very easy to do. Sometimes I would just take pictures of door signs and upload to the company website.
Paying off your student loan can seem like a huge task but every cent towards that payment does count.
