Fastest Way to Make Money Using Swagbucks

Updated on March 21, 2016

Why I Use SwagBucks

I like to write about how to make money online since I am an individual who is sick too often to work and I like to share my experiences with others. Swagbucks is one of my favorite ways to earn money online using my computer. A lot of people don’t understand how they can earn money using the Swagbucks button or their website. In this tutorial, I am going to walk you through how to use Swagbucks to earn money online.

What is Swagbucks

Swagbucks is a website that allows you to earn money by shopping online, taking surveys, watching videos, playing games, doing online searches, etc. Just about everything that you do online can help you earn Swagbucks which can later be turned in for money, gift cards, or other prizes. It is fun and easy to use. The gift cards that you can redeem are to places such as Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Starbucks, Macy’s, PayPal, Target, ITunes, etc. You simply go to the Swag store and pick out your prize. Each thing that you do on the Swagbucks website gives you a different set of bucks for you to redeem; some offer more than others. I use it to shop at Walmart and have earned as much as 12 Swagbucks for every dollar I spent.

A person can simply start earning Swagbucks by signing up at their website and downloading the Swagbucks button. The button is not required but, it will help you get the most out of their website. All you need to sign up is an email address. In order to request money once you have enough Swagbucks, you need to have a PayPal account.

I also downloaded the search engine to make it easier for me to shop and earn and to earn Swagbucks when I use the search engine. It hasn’t seemed to slow down my computer and anytime that there is a website that I am on that will let me shop and earn, it adds a notification at the top of the webpage telling me that I can activate it so that I earn points.

Earn Gift Cards & PayPal Cards

Review of SwagBucks

I always feel that every article that has to do with making money, should start off with a review of the website or product. There are many Swagbucks reviews out there but, this is an unbiased review of the website.

I earned most of my points within the first few days of me signing up. This was because they offer a lot of “bucks” just for you signing up. At first I thought that this was going to be another one of those sites that claims to give you rewards but takes forever for you to get any points to cash in. I think I cashed my first $25 papal certificate within three days of signing up. What I did to earn my Swagbucks is to sign up for a few things.

Shortly after I got my first $25 gift card for PayPal using their site, I was able to redeem a $10 visa gift card because I purchased some everyday items from Walmart online. I guess you could say that because I do a lot of my shopping online, it is easier for me to earn gift cards.

I don’t think that this website is for everyone though but, they do have a lot of things for a lot of different people and it is worth checking out. One thing that I do not like is their surveys and I don’t waste my time with them. Most of the surveys will not be accepted. I also like playing online games and when you sign up and spend $9.99, you earn a certain amount of points and each time after that as well.

What you can do to get the most out of swagbucks

1. Go to the Swagbucks Facebook Page and “Like” their page. They often post up Swag codes that you can enter into the Swag button to earn more points.

2. Swagbucks has a Twitter account where they also post swag codes for you to use.

3. On the Swagbucks blog, they sometimes post swag codes, and you can get awesome tips for using Swagbucks.

4. Invite your friends and family and earn. Referrals can help you earn quick since you get X amount of points once they reach a certain amount themselves, and you continue to earn as they earn since you get a percentage of theirs.

5. Fridays are Mega Swagbucks Days. On this day, you have an opportunity to earn some major Swagbucks when you do web searches.

6. Daily Polls are also available on their website and you earn when you answer them.

7. If you have a website or blog, you can install their widget and earn when people sign up from it and, it also sometimes features swag codes for you and others to use.

8. Swag button, install it and start watching videos and earn or, you can use it to shop your favorite stores, answer surveys, etc.

How to Earn by Watching Videos

One of my favorite things to do on Swagbucks to earn points is to watch videos. I usually do this by opening up their video website and pick through which videos I want to watch based on my interest or points that they are offering. They have a set amount per each block of videos that you watch. I then open up another browser so that I can roam internet while watching the videos. I shrink the screens to make it so that I can see both web browsers or, because I am a writer, I open up a word document beside the browser and write while the videos are playing. I can also do this by using the swag button which lets me view the videos in an already smaller screen.

It may not look as though you will earn a lot from watching videos but, as time flys by, you will earn a lot of points using this method. A person is allowed to earn up to 500 points just from watching videos a day.

Meet the Daily Goal and Earn More

Every day, Swagbucks offers a set amount of points by meeting their daily goal. These are bonus points that you can earn just by using the Swagbucks system. Once you reach the daily goal, they will automatically give you the extra points. If you don’t see the points added, try to refresh the points by going to their website and clicking the points at the top of the page; this will allow the points to refresh and will give you an accurate reading of the points you earned.

I will never claim to help you become rich by working online at home but, I can show you different sources of income that you can use to create multiple streams of income and help you earn a living online.

I started earning money online back in 2007 and have not stopped since. Swagbucks is only one of my sources that I use. Because I use swagbucks to shop and do other things online, I average $50 a week. There are others that average more and some less. From my research, the average overall that is made using swagbucks is only $50 a week but, these individuals mostly use it to do searches and enter random swag codes. If you use it like I do to shop, play games, search, and watch movies, you could possibly make as much as I do. If you add this in with other ways to make money online, you should be able to make a nice income by using nothing more than your computer.

Some say that this is just a way to get people to spend money online and I couldn't disagree more. If you are already using sites like Walmart, Target, etc., then you aren't spending anymore than what you normally would have been.

If you have other ways to make money online doing simple things like this, please let me in the comments section. Also, I add new articles on finance all the time so please feel free to check out my profile page. If you have tried using swagbucks and failed, please let me know and maybe I can help you figure out what is causing you to not be able to earn. I will also be adding more information to my hubpages so please check back often for new updates.
