First Steps Into Passive Income

Updated on February 15, 2016

Many people are struggling these days. It is hard enough to get enough money for what you need let alone what you actually want. Some passive income that rolls right in could really be a life preserver at a time like this.

One way of making passive income is with Cafepress. With Cafepress you just set up a shop. Then you upload your original designs or text to the system. Finally, you pick a product that you would like your designs to decorate. Then you use a designer to customize so the customers can order them. The money paid to you for this is called royalties. You need to learn how to promote your Cafepress products to achieve best results.

Sell on Amazon for Passive Income.

Another way of making passive income is through selling on Amazon. Find a product you would like to sell. It is best to go with popular products that are already selling well, unless you already have an "in" with a certain market. You need to find a very inexpensive supplier. It may be best to purchase items in larger amounts, known as "bulk."

Make Passive Income Through Dividend Stocks.

Some people make passive income through dividend stocks. Dividends are cash payments that are often made quarterly. If you don't know anything about it, you will need to research and perhaps take a class or course in learning about dividend stocks so you can make an informed decision. With careful consideration and thorough research, dividend stocks are a way of making passive income regularly.

Make Passive Income With a Direct Mail Campaign.

Have you ever thought of putting together a direct mail campaign? This is sort of an "old school" way to earn income, but it is still relevant. Here is how it works. You create or get the rights to a product. You then collect or buy a mailing list. Make a sales letter selling your product and send it to your list. Only a small percentage will buy and you need to make necessary tweaks to your direct mail campaign to ensure that it stays profitable.

By now you are probably excited to get going with setting up some passive income streams. You may like the Cafepress model or even choose to sell on Amazon. Maybe you will get creative and set up your own direct mail campaign. Will you now take the first step into passive income?

Thanks for these ideas. It might be still more helpful if we got some more details on each one. Passive income is a very interesting concept.
