How To Find Great Deals On Merchandise - Without All The Work!
I love finding great deals on merchandise I can actually use – I love the hunt – but hate the time it takes to do the required research. I loathe coupons… coupons in my opinion do nothing but tailor your shopping. In other words, the coupon does exactly what it was intended to do – get you to buy that specific product, when you probably wanted an alternative. I might have purchased Smucker’s Grape Jelly, but I have a coupon for Polaner Strawberry Preserve – so that’s what I’m buy. Well, there a few websites out there that do the research for you – helping you find the best deals -without the use of coupons.
My #1 Favorite Bargain Hunting Website
One of these sites is Slickdeals.net. It is a community driven bargain hunting site, with thousands of free discounts, promo codes, freebies and price comparisons. I’ve used this site to score great deals like a DieHard Marine battery originally listed at $129.99 for $40.00. Or a $179.99 NorthFace Denali Jacket for only $49.00. The deals on this site are great, but you have to act quickly – because supplies are generally limited… they are after all amazing deals. The constantly update the site to show you what’s trending and hot, and comes complete with a forum to post and review even more deals. I even downloaded the SlickDeals Phone App so I never miss a good deal!
One Sale A Day - Everyday!
Here’s a few sites dedicated offer 1 great deal a day: 1SaleADay.com, Woot.com, and Dailysteals.com Here you will find deep discounts on one particular item – usually discounted or refurbished items – but fantastic deals none-the-less. Many folks love these sites because of their huge discounts, but I personally have found that I’m not interested in the products they are offering more often than not. I have however purchased a refurbished Toshiba Thrive Android tablet, as well as a refurbished LG Portable Air conditioner, for incredible prices – both items that are still alive and well today!
... Now For The Groupons Of The World
Now on to those “other” daily deal services: The Groupons of the world – if you will. They are offer great local and national deals daily, but your e-mail inbox pays a heavy price. So if you are going to take advantage of these sites, I suggest you provide an alternative e-mail address. There are hundreds of sites that operate like this: Groupon.com, Yipit.com, Groupigg.com, LivingSocial.com – the list goes on and on. I do like these sites, because they are generally tailored to my local community, which is good for a variety of reasons. One – I think it’s always a good idea to spend money in your local community – where the money actually counts. Two – I love the idea of giving my hard earned money to other hard-working small businesses in my area, as opposed to those “big-box” competitors. These sites are particularly valuable for fine dining and travel expenditures.
