How To Make Your Own Banners With Imgur.com

Updated on October 3, 2012

FREE BANNER MAKING SITE

Whilst I was doing some work on one of my Blogs a few weeks ago I came across this rather funky FREE banner making site http://www.puresilvabannermaker.com So I thought I would give it a whirl and the result of which you can see above. Pretty cool I thought. The brilliant thing about it is that you can save the banners you make and host it on another site called imgur.com

Here you can keep all your banners in one place ready for when you need them.

The three banners above were made in around 1 minute each, saved to my laptop in the form of a photo then uploaded onto this hub. And I think they look great. The only negative is that to use the free banners you have to show their web address in the corner of your banner. Of course if you want to upgrade you can pay a fee and then make your own unique banners and personalise them to your own taste.

Another amazing feature is that you can even upload your own photo's and include them in the banner design, as I did on the one at the top. The photo was from a hub I wrote on the topic of Sutton Bridge, one of my favourite places on my delivery route. Titled A deja vu experience at Sutton Bridge

Talking of my delivery route, if you would like to hear what happened to me whilst at work the other day then click on the link to see. What happened to poshcoffeeco?

What to do to get started.

To get started straight away making your own individual banners go to http://www.puresilvabannermaker.com

Here you can test the site and see what effects you can achieve before saving any work to imgur.com where the banners are hosted on a site of your own, should you wish to register at the site for your own account.

There are lots of different designs on the PureSilva site to choose from and your designs will look really professional.

The site is so easy to use and straight forward that anyone can do it. If I can do it, so can you and that is saying something.

Great for Blogging

These sites are great if you are into Blogging and social networking as you can make banners not only for your web site but you can make them to put on your Blogs and articles. An individual banner made specifically for your site will beat anything else out there on sites which can only show ready made banners advertising somebody else's web site, Blog or product. Make the banner to advertise your brand or product. The possibilities are endless. So what are you waiting for just click on the links around this article and get designing TODAY!

Great article poshcoffeeco, I used this site before. You can remove the link by opening the banner with windows live photo gallery and used the retouch feature. Keep clicking over the the link and eventually it will remove it.

Bookmarking this - I love it when people share new discoveries!! I always have created my own banners, but it's a headache getting the pixel-width just right and not messing up the image by stretching it. Great info!
