How to Make a Million Dollars

Updated on August 24, 2009

It's not as hard as you may think!

Million dollar ideas are just waiting to be discovered. Here are some simple steps for you to follow in your generating the next million dollar idea:

1. Pay attention to what people around you (friends, family, even strangers) do often. For example, almost everyone uses pencils. Well, someone noticed the high percent of people that use this particular writing implement and decided to make it better, ultimately creating a pencil that doesn't need sharpening. This idea has accumulated over $1 million! You can see what people like just by walking down the street or going over to a friend's house.

2. Now that you know what people do/use a lot, develop an idea to make those particular objects better/easier to use. For example, everyone used to have to buy ice from the market. Well, someone realized the inconvenience involved with this and decided to make ice trays. After that, someone made getting ice even easier with ice makers. It is amazing how much any given object can be improved.

3. Make sure your idea is useful to many other people, not just you. This is crucial if you want to earn a large sum of money.

4. Finally, make your invention flawless and sell the idea or the object itself to everyone in need of it. Congratulations, you're now on your way to making your first million dollars!
