Kindle Can Make You Money

As a writer, you have various outlets: Blog writing, Advertisements, Sponsered works, Ghostwriting, and Publishing. Let's zoom into publishing, how does it work and why do people care?
Here's why, because outlets like Amazon have given writers all around the globe a writers branch to type their hearts out; self-publishing with up to 70 percent royalties! Now, doesn't that just make your mouth water?
It's a tough world out there, especially for aspiring artists; so, why not take a dive into making things work for yourself? And here Kindle comes in; the platform allows authors to publish their works and have full reign over pricing and personal marketing. While selling e-books would be an excellent venture for any self-proclaimed writer, it is also not as easy as one might assume.
Much like SEO (search engine optimization) writing and any form of a blog posting for revenue, there is going to be a give and take of what you receive.
The Tug O' War
Like I said earlier, there is a certain give and take that needs to be going on to get your e-book up in the ranks with those well-known authors; think of those tug of war games you use to play at summer camp, you would end the game with rope burns from pulling so hard, but it was worth it.
This is how you need to treat your book marketing, it may seem tedious at times, but in the end, it'll pay off.
There are various ways to market an e-book; free trails, exclusive early releases, membership book deals, and many, many more.
It is important that you pick a tactic that will, not only work for you but, work for your target audiences as well. It seems pretty unlikely that teenagers will be checking their emails for exclusive book deals anytime soon, so maybe consider a more "in your face" way of advertising. This may mean putting down a few extra singles to get online ads to high traffic websites and social media sites, or making fliers that can be handed out in the school libraries.
In other words, just get your work out there; or at least notify people of it!
Facebook is for friends; or fake ones for that matter. Don't be afraid to take advantage of the e-platform you have been given; who is gonna judge you, that girl from 6th grade who you haven't spoken to since graduation?
While usually Facebook is used for weird videos and funny memes, and let's not forget about those weird posts from your 3rd cousin twice removed who lives across the ocean, the platform can be utilized for much, much more.
Think of it like this, what better way to reach tons of different social circles without having to pay for advertising? That's right, Facebook! One of the best things about utilizing this platform is that once a post is shared by a friend, the news goes to all of her social circles and so on and so forth.
So in reality, you can reach hundreds of people easy, without having to shell out those extra bucks!
Set Your Price
While most new kindle e-books would sell for .99 cents a pop, you have direct control over how much you want to charge your customers.
One example I read was to keep the book at 99 cents for the first five days, then after raising the price to 5.00. While this might annoy some customers with the sudden jump in pricing, this would be a great marketing strategy to get people the buy "when they can" at an ultimate low price.
Trust me, when people believe they are getting a deal for an item, they will pay.
But while the prices can go anywhere from a dollar to twenty, you still need to be weary about what price tag you are putting on your book. While it would be great to get twenty dollars for every book sold, this will reduce your customers significantly; unless you are a popular author.
It doesn't hurt anyone's pockets to ask for five dollars a book, but when asking for twenty, this is when customers will begin reconsidering.
Remember, you are new to the self-publishing game, it takes a little bit of fame and even a few hard copy published books in order to charge that much for an e-book.
