Know PC? Make Some Money!

Updated on December 8, 2011

What do usually do the most part of computer users on their PC? Yes, you are absolutely right!Playing games, watching videos, listening to the music and from time to time they can use Word. Teach them more - and get a decent charge.Plenty of room for imagination - you can earn on anything. Make money with what you know and enjoy!

According to some data, about 50% of the people, who buy the computer for the first time, do not know how to use it properly.Maximum, what they can do on the computer is games, music and Word. But for a person who buys a computer this minimum is not enough.Sometimes a person can even feel uncomfortable, because it can not use your PC to its full capacity.Even in games, he can not set the necessary requirements in order to get better graphics and sound.

Let us agree, computer beginner courses do not teach this.Standard training includes: learning from "Start" to "My Computer"or "My Documents", or a number of useful software of Microsoft company: Word, Access, Excel, Power Point.Even after such courses the main functions of the computer is typing and playing music.

Make money with what you really enjoy!
Make money with what you really enjoy!

And why do not you teach these people to use a computer at its full capacity? If you use a computer at home for several years, then you surely understand it better than any training teacher. You can make some good money teaching them.

The essence of this kind of business is to maximize a simple way to teach a person all the tricks and wisdom you got all the years of using your computer. You'll be out of competition before any courses: first, you'll come to the appointed time, and secondly, the customer receives personalized training, which eliminates the possibility of misunderstanding, and finally, thirdly, the training will take place at the client's home with its owncomputer, means it will be nice and comfortable for the client.

Concerning the price policy, it should be discussed separately. Price of your teaching should not exceed 75% of the hours of the course that is offered officially by the companies that provide PC courses. To find out the cost of course is easy - just call all companies that offer such services, and find out the price and number of hours included in the course.

In addition to all general courses of work on a computer, you can add something very important as well, such as:

Anti-defense - training to work with antivirus.

HDD- Protection - Work with software controlling the processor, hard drive, etc.

Internet communication - Work with ICQ, Skype, Yahoo Messenger, mail, etc.

You can also add courses for some individual programs, for example, Word and Excel, working with pictures, etc.

Well, and if you possess knowledge in a particular area of computer literacy (web design, blogging, photo editing, etc.), you can make even better money. Create your course to teach in this direction as well.

In addition, you can help people to install the missing software for money! Just take into consideration that when people buy a computer there can be installed only the operating system. And, you know, that is not enough. Here, only some ideas of what you can offer to your clients: antivirus, downloading and installing Skype, Browser (Chrome, Firefox), help in creating an e-mail, etc.

This type of business you can do by yourself. It doesn’t require any financial investments and will fit anyone - from a student to a retiree. It is not so difficult to make money with what you like and understand. It is easy to give people all that information they need.

Nowadays, the prices of the computers are falling, so even a family with not so much income can afford a computer. Due to this prospects, this kind of business should not be underestimated.

Dear SpiritLeo, Wonderfully-written, deeply-informative and helpful advice, this hub. Voted up, useful, awesome and interesting. I would love to make some extra money by using my PC, but I am only a high school grad with a low IQ. I wish I were more tech-savvy, but it is what it is. Maybe you can steer me in the direction that I need to go in order to make some extra money. At any rate. I enjoy your writing and style. Very nice. Merry Christmas to you. Your friend, Kenneth

I just love this and so glad somebody wrote about this very serious issue of today too. I too was one of those first time computer owners who just knew some basic's I have since self taught and learned form others and great tips and walk through too have taught me so very much. I even keep notes of all this to reference when needed too. It means allot tome to be well educated about my PC since I plan to earn online too. I do have a bit more still to learn but I just love this and can't wait to always learn more and grow with this too. I hope to teach some more to my Mother if she will ever let me. thanks, A.B.:)

I've only been using a computer for about 10 years but in the last couple of them I've found out just how little folks do know about their machine, even just basic things. Good hub! Peace!! Tom

      Thank you Susieq42!

I just want to encourage people who temporarly lost their jobs not to lose their faith and do something they really like and be paid for that.

It is really a very good idea. They won't make a fortune but they will meet new people, communicate, do what they enjoy and will be paid for that, so they will manage to overcome the problems they face... means they will make their life less stressfull and more interesting!
