Making a Little Extra Money in the USA

Updated on August 4, 2015

As a student, many people have been asking how I have been making ends meet. Printing coupons helps but, it is not my only thing. I do many things- none makes a fortune but, all build to help me with extra income. To do this you must think of money in more than one fashion (gift cards, bit coins, free product, etc.) and be patient enough to get what you want. Some is about changing habits, be they shopping or how you work on the internet. NEVER give out ANY information you do not feel comfortable giving and you do not have to pay to sign up at any of the sites I recommend.

First let me explain a few things:

You will need an e-mail for nothing but, this web work. This does generate a lot of e-mail and you really do not want your personal inbox flooded. It also helps to have a PayPal account for those who do want to pay you cash. Age, race, gender and sex do not matter here, only patients and kindness- the more you have of both the quicker things get done. You will suddenly find your snail mail getting deals more tailored to your needs. I often find the smallest five or ten dollar check to show up, when least expected but, most appreciated.

Web- work is not suited to everyone. If you do not want to ruin friendships, please only refer people you know will be interested and do not be offended by people who do not wish to join anything. Everyone has their own thing. For some this will be worked when they are bored and for others it will become a hobby- either way it will add to your bottomline.

MyPoints

I have been using this site for over 15 years, MyPoints is the old war horse of points programs. Here you can play games, watch videos, click on adverts, take surveys and shop- all will earn you points. It is the place many companies to try new things- super neat. They even offer a place to obtain coupon codes to help with brick and mortar stores as well as online. Points will garner you gift certificates to Amazon, BP, Home Depot and many others and get sent as soon as you request them. The longest I have waited was about 10 days for a gift certificate. I try to hold onto points for 6 months so, during summer and winter holidays I have gas for the car and presents for people in my life:)

Memolink

I have been using Memolink for about 10 years. Much like MyPoints, you can gain points by: playing games, click on adverts, take surveys and shopping. This one has a place for coupons but, also a freebie section that is worth checking out. You can do this while waiting in the doctor’s office or garage or airport. The daily survey is an easy way to earn points. Here your points can earn either gift certificates or cash or even donation to charities and they are sent out quickly when ordered. Getting paid through PayPal is much quicker than ordering a check. This is a place I build points for spring and fall. The grandchildren always seem to need new things during this time for school or getting ready for graduation parties.

Swagbucks

I have been on here for about 3 years. Here one can earn ‘swagbucks’ for playing games, click on adverts, searching, take surveys and shopping. Here your points can earn either gift certificates or cash through PayPal or even donate to charity. It is a where I build points for when I want something special. At the moment I consider it ‘the car is gonna need’ account (lots of laughs). If you choose to say I referred you my account there is AmericanBoudica.

Ebates

If you shop on the internet (i.e. Avon, Puritans Pride, Nike, Omaha Steaks, etc.), ebates is a way to make money back for the money you spend. Most rebates get credited within 48 hours. If you shop for others, this is a great way to add value for your effort. They will send you a check or you can get this via PayPal. It is simple- shop, build up for 3 months, they cut you a check. I was slow to join this as I thought it was a scam. A friend of mine joined and I saw her get paid. I finally broke down and had to work it for myself. I am happy I did, it always shows up when it is so much in need.

Bit Coin

Do you understand Bitcoin? It is a new global form of currency. This opens up a whole new global market to your average person. I have added a video to help give you an idea of what it is and how it works. It is a great way to pay for global services and products. You do not have to be Donald Trump to obtain the best of everything, you just have to be willing to work for it.

When you understand it is a global currency, you also want to know there are ways to earn and spend. It is an easy safe way with low costs to buy and sell goods globally. For me this has been a God send, it allows me to provide for my family and community in such a fabulous way. It is nice to have a way to earn bit coin without being a Guru.

Coin HD

You can watch videos to earn at this site. Some of the videos at Coin HD are informative, some of the videos are about games and some videos are different types of music- at times just remember there is a volume switch. Once you get over 60 stochi you can request it sent to the wallet. For me it averages about 20 minutes from request to deposit in the wallet. When you have time to kill, better to be productive and get informed. It has created some fun discussions at my house.

Mastering Bitcoin: Unlocking Digital Cryptocurrencies

BitVisitor

By entering your wallet number at BitVisitor you are brought to different websites to check out. This is easy enough and all information is at the top of the screen. When you reach 60 Stochi it automatically makes a deposit into your wallet. I have cable and it takes about 10 minutes for the transaction to complete and the Stochi to be in my wallet. I have never had a problem. These sites tend to be bitcoin centered and after the first few you will be required to click on pictures to prove you are not a robot. This is very straight forward site.

Conclusion

So it is my hope to have introduced you to a few ways to add extra money to your pocket and brought you something fun to do. As I stated, none will make you rich but, all will add to your bottom line and help you make life a little easier.
