Moms Making Extra Money While Creating Space
If you are a mom then you are probably always in need of two things:
- More money
- More space
You have toys upon toys that your kids never play with anymore and you have so many storage containers of clothes stacked up that it reminds you of the Leaning Tower of Pisa. So wouldn’t it be terrific if you could make some spare money and create space in your home at the same time?
Here’s the good news; you can!
There’s a few different ways that you can go about making money and creating more space:
- Have a yard sale or garage sale. This is an easy way to get rid of stuff fairly quickly. Just remember to get the word out that you are having one. Put up posters or signs with the date and location. You may also want to e-mail family and friends and let them know about it.
- List items on E-Bay. Now is a great time to list items because you can list for free. For now you only pay if the item sells. If you decide to sell on E-Bay then take the time to search what you are planning on listing. This way you can see if any are selling and how much they are going for. This is also a good way to get an idea of how much you will need to charge for shipping.
- Post items on Craigslist. The great thing about this site is it’s free to post and there are no fees if your item sells. You also do not have to worry about shipping because in most cases the buyer will come to the location that you specify to pick up the items.
If you are thinking that you just don’t have time to do any of the above but would still love to get rid of some clutter and make a few bucks in the process then perhaps you need to turn to your local classifieds. Either you can run an ad offering to sell all the items at once to one buyer or you can look to see if there are any ads for people wanting to buy items for a yard sale that they’re having.
But in the end no matter which method you choose you should be able to make a little extra dough and create some space in your home. Just remember, with your extra money don’t go out and buy things to put in your newly acquired space.
