Money Saving Webs Sites
Everyone likes and needs to save money especially today. Would you be interested in webs sites that are designed to do just that for you while keeping you current on the changing scene in your city? Through the power of group purchasing , sites now exist that offer you 50 to 80% off items such as tickets, restaurant meals , spa treatments and even yoga and golf lessons at deeply discounted prices. This is a win-win situation. Businesses get to showcase their services and wares while the consumer gets an introduction to a new or existing business . The four web sites are My Daily Thread; Groupon; and Buy with Me. Here's how they generally work:
A Save is a fabulous deal on something that is available for a short period of time - usually 24 hours. A Save might be a half-priced meal at a restaurant in your local town, a spa treatment or a bargain hair-cut from that salon you 've been meaning to try.
Share with your friends via Twitter, Facebook, e-mail because every Save has a minimum number of buyers that must be met before that Save can be activated. There are expiration dates on each deal which are clearly stated in the Ad and on the voucher itself.
You get your voucher when you pay for it with a credit card and you can use it usually by the next day! You need to print your voucher imprinted with the Save code when you purchase it. Remember, you won't get the deal , at most sites, until a minimum of purchasers buy. This deal may only be used by itself and cannot be combined with other specials.
Please read each sites policies regarding refunds. But most claim All Sales are Final. However, they each have a customer service e-mail address and will make sure you are happy. For example, if you believe Eversave has not delivered on the deal, you will get a refund. If you have a problem with merchandise or a service bought, you will have to contact the merchant, obviously.
My Daily Thread. com - is offering a chance to win a free IPad to help celebrate their Philadelphia launch. You can preview this site without giving out your e-mail or name. But you will need to register to enter the contest and of course to purchase a deal.
Also at My Daily Thread , there are bonus deals. These offers are marked with a Bonus Achieved Medallion. When X number of people purchase the deal you all receive an additional reward. This could be a free appetizer or dessert or a free yoga mat depending on the offer. Numbers needed to win these bonuses are different per offer ( can run from 5 to 35 purchasers). But consider this to be the cherry on the top of the deal as one site referred to this offer.
My Daily Thread offers three other features unique to their site. (1) Daily Threads are stories and commentaries about local, buzzing artists to an article about an incredible local charity. (2)Daily Tracks allows you to preview "a tasty nugget of localized music." In some cases you can download a sample for free. Some of these threads will be from live shows and may be available even before they're released to the general public. (3) Daily Galleries contain "bite-sized nuggets" of interesting and unique places in your city. Some of the best photographers and artists will showcase their work. Each day a new artist will be featured.
The third web site is Groupon.com it has 93 participating cities with Vancouver, Ottawa and Toronto, Canada , as well. This site made me give my e-mail and choose a password before I could preview their site.
Groupon has been featured on Today, Good Morining America, Reuters, CBS, ABC, and Fox stations.
Why do these sites exist and how long have they been around? Businesses win because the site drives hundreds of new customers to their doors. 95% of Groupon surveyed business partners want to be featured on Groupon again. This site started in November 2008 as part of The Point, a platform for collective action. "We wanted to make it easier to enjoy the great things available in our community."
Number 4 , BuyWith Me.com always requires a minimum group to purchase a deal ; but they feature more that 1 daily deal. They also feature a "How close are we bar" to see if the deal is close to being made. Beside each deal and the explaination; there is also a sands of time icon showing you how many days, hours are left to purchase that deal. These deals ranged from a 45 minute private golf lesson, 50% off Swiss Haus Bakery to more than 50 % off of delivery Laundry & Dry Cleaning.
If you are looking for new ideas or places to try for this summer, if you always wanted to go to that new stadium but never took the time to investigate buying tickets, now is your chance. Throught the power of group purchasing deals are to be had everyday! Yes, a little patience is needed and perhaps you might not always get a deal but you can always try another site or the next day . Also , some offers can be purchased as gifts , so you can purchase multiple deals and that counts towards reaching the goal, as well. Remember , each site , has many different cities some even include Canada! Happy bargain hunting . I know I will use these sites to help me enjoy an more interesting summer!
