Farrah has been a financial analyst for years and continues to write articles geared toward helping you improve your earnings online.

Waste to Wealth: Pure Water Nylon and Plastic Bottle Recycling in Nigeria

I wrote this article a few years ago and only just stumbled upon it. It seems just like yesterday I was searching for information about pure water nylon recycling in Nigeria, but couldn’t find what I wanted. The few people with the information packaged it in ebooks for sale.

I got frustrated when my search for free information on nylon recycling yielded nothing. I couldn't believe there was no free information on this topic that is fast becoming a wealth magnet in Nigeria.

In the end, I caved in and paid for the information I later got and used in to recycle the bag of pure water nylon then.

That same information gotten has been written here and is being offered for free. I hope someone who desperately needs it comes across it and finds it useful to his purpose.

Nylon recycling is a wealth building career right now in Nigeria and is fast becoming a hot cake. People aware if this money-making venture are holding the information close to their chest, deciding to part with it if you can dole out some cash.

It is a very easy business to get into, and while it might take a little while to gather the used nylons, you will start to see the earnings in this nylon recycling business not too long after you start it.

1kg of pure water nylon goes for N32 - N200 and a ton for N20,000 - N30,000 and there are tons of companies in search of sellers.

Introduction to Nylon Recycling

Nylon recycling in Nigeria has come to stay. There is a lot of money to made from recycling in Nigeria. This is one business area in Nigeria that is still largely untapped but has good potentials for money-making with very little efforts.

A lot of items can be recycled in Nigeria for money and some of these are nylons and plastic that we see everywhere around us.

In this hub, I’m going to sharing the following:

1. How you can source for pure water nylons and plastics.

2. How to get buyers who buy per KG.

3. How to source for pure water nylons and plastics.

How to Source for Used Nylon Bag to Start Your Nylon Recycling Business

As earlier said, getting used nylon sachet to start your nylon recycling business is not so easy. Anyone saying otherwise is only out to deceive you and make you part with your hard-earned cash.

However, while sourcing for these nylon sachet isn't easy, it can be done and one of the ways you can gather these items is by making a deal with pure water sellers in your vicinity.

There are tons of people selling pure water and you can get the used bags for your nylon recycling at the end of each day if you play your cards well.

1. Approach the Sellers Yourself
You should walk up to these sellers and explain to them your need for and desire to collect the used plastic sachets at the end of the day. It is advisable you desist from telling them you want to sell the nylons for a profit or they don’t expect money from you for the nylons. Instead, you could portray yourself as a student with a school project who needs the used sachet for a research.

If they are in agreement with you, you then decide on the mode and time of collection. The seller could gather all the nylons in a bag and you go there once a week to pick the bag up in preparation for your nylon recycling business.

2. Hire a Collector
Another way to accumulate used pure water sachet and plastic bottles for your nylon recycling business is to get someone to do the collection for you.

This person would be responsible for gathering the used nylon and bottles, and would go from street to street picking up sachets of pure water nylons and at the end you pay a token. You both agree on the quantity the person is expected o pick and you pay at the end of the deal.

You could also get little children from your vicinity to do the pickings for you while you “settle” them with biscuits or any other goodies that would delight them at the end of the day.

3. Make Arrangements with Event Centers

Lastly you can do the gathering of these nylons and bottles yourself. Saturday is known to be a day for weddings and events in Nigeria with tons of events going down each week. You need only pick a location each Saturday (one you know is quite busy and gets a lot of traffic) and go from venue to venue picking up litters in the evenings after most of the guests have left.

However, you might need to meet with the Event Center manager beforehand to discuss your plan before going in to prevent being harassed and embarrassed.

Once done and when you have succeeded in getting the minimum number of ton to transact, you can then proceed to the next phase in your nylon recycling.

Nylon Recycling : Getting Buyers for Your Nylons and Plastic Bottles

Once you have your bags of pure water nylons or bottles, the next step would be getting it across to the buyers. There are several buyers in Nigeria ready to pay good money for your products. Each buyer has a different price they are willing to pay though and it's up to you to sieve out the 'cheap' guys so you can get a good deal for your nylon recycling business.

A bag full of pure water nylon weighs 20kg and 1 kg sells for between 35-200 naira, depending on the buyer. One kg of plastic goes for N70

Each bag that weighs 20kg goes for 1, 400 naira. Therefore, if you supply about 10 bags daily you will earn about 14, 000 naira daily. A ton of pure water nylon goes for N20,000 to N30,000.
