Tourism-Travel and Off The Grid-RV Living

Updated on October 15, 2015

The Dream

Have you ever daydreamed about just getting away from it all, living off the grid, vacationing every day, visiting family and friends?

Have you ever thought what it would be like to be free from all of those pesky household chores?

Have you ever wished you could take the time to enjoy all of the simple pleasures life has to offer?

Do you like meeting new people from all walks of life?

Do you embrace adventure?

If you answered yes to these questions the RV lifestyle may be a reasonable fit for a healthy and exciting life style for you.

Go RV'ing

The world is your backyard

State parks, the ocean, a riverbank, campgrounds, or RV parks, wherever you decide you want your backyard to be. And when you decide you want it to be elsewhere, you simply go elswhere.

No need to be a millionaire

Rv's range in price from super inexpensive to super expensive. Every day hundreds of thousands of working class individuals just like yourself are respectivly dropping it all for a life of fun and adventure. The monthly bills can be less than you are paying now. Rent or mortgage payments can be very high for a home that sits in place with very little change in scenery (unless of course, you plant a tree, or make a flower bed, or re-decorate your interior. We all know these things cost money). Imagine a home where It costs very little to pick up your house and move on to new scenery. The RV lifestyle can do all this and more.

Off the Grid Tales of How to Make A Living

Earning enough to support your RV life style

Creativity is key! Sometimes getting out and meeting others in the life can spark creativity or give you that great idea. Some Rvr's blog about their adventures, others are handy men who pick up side jobs fixing RV's. Some are accountants, webmasters, IT programers, and freelancers. There are Rvr's with hot dog stands stored in their toy hauler. There are also websites such as that assis RVr's in finding hands on work while on the road.

Where there is a will, there is a way!

Take the Children With You

What about the children?

Just because you have childen, it does not mean you can not enjoy a life of less stress by choosing to live off the grid. On the contrary, the RV life may be a good fit for your entire family.

I don't know about you, but when I was a child I liked to climb trees, swim in lakes, jump in the ocean, climb mountains, hike, ride bikes and just about anything else I could think of that was adventerous enough to satisfy my sense of curiosity.

With the fast paced technological world it seems many children today miss alot of this free play time which is where children learn best, and that is a shame.

The RV lifestyle benefits children with a rich and exciting life. With todays free online schooling chidren can have the best of both worlds. They can unleash their natural energies and curiosities in an abundance of different places, experience the world of travel and diverse cultures without risking a traditional education. Best of all, the children are better able to focus in school without the difficult social life that accompanies most educational institutions today.

Choosing the RV that Fits You

Unlike the old days where a camper was, well, .. a camper, Rv's have evolved into complete homes on wheels. There are driveable ones, and pull behinds. Rv's range in size from accomodating one individual to ten or twelve individuals and more. They come equiped with full kitchens and baths, even extra bed rooms. If you would like, you can even have a two story one special built! Amazing how far we have come.

The video to the right is chock full of information and resources. If you have read this far you may be interested in viewing the video. It explains the various RV's and what to look for when purchasing.

Choosing your RV

Research Before You Decide

Just like any other important decision you make in your life, before jumping into the RV life head on it is a good idea to do some additional research. Ask yourself some concrete questions about your future goals and ambitions.

Run a Google search on the RV lifestyle

If you do not own one, rent an RV and give it a whirl for a week or two

I enjoyed your hub very much. Made me want to hit the road a-foot thanks to your great photos. I guess that I am rambling soul because each time I would get to visit a new place on vacation, (before I got sick and cannot get out anymore), I would hate to leave.

I wish you my best and prayers for you to succeed in a big way.

Write to me anytime you like.
